Dodge and Ram are forced to bring HEMI because people didn’t like the alternative. Period and the numbers are proving.
We can keep arguing, but 4XE models aren’t selling in a volume. HEMI wasn’t a volume either, but at least it justified the upper trims and spoke premium over a V6 Pentastar.
The WL Grand Cherokee did not get the traction it had with the previous generation because of the unrealistic pricing, and to make matters worse they killed the HEMI.

I do agree to replace the V6 with a more powerful and efficient turbo 4 cylinder. This should lower the mpg and emissions average of the cars.

I think Ram 1500’s sales numbers are more than enough to silence anyone who was thinking just because Hurricane engines had better performance numbers on paper justifies the stopping and killing of HEMI engines.
People with their money do the talking.
They are stuck in the ICE engines.
On one hand they have the SO and HO Hurricanes which are more powerful and efficient than the HEMI 5.7 and 6.4 respectively, and they have invested a lot of money on them to kill it without achieving its ROI.

And why does one think the Range Extension technology is superior than series or parallel hybrid technologies??
Why would an ICE engine be their only to charge the battery when it can be used, with the proper hybrid technology, to do both, recharge the battery and still drive on ICE engine?
