More Standard Features, New Freshened Looks...

FIAT Brazil has released details about their compact 2020 Fiat Toro pickup lineup. Based on the Small Wide 4×4 architecture that underpins the Jeep Compass, Jeep Renegade, and Ram ProMaster City, the Fiat Toro has been a sales success in its segment since its launch, with a market share of 29.7% in 2019. Fiat has added a variety of equipment to the new 2020 Toro lineup. Despite being the most equipped pickup truck in its market, the 2020 Fiat Toro gets even more advancements. It starts with a new larger media center, now with a next-generation 7-inch infotainment screen. The item is standard on every Fiat Toro model, except for the Endurance versions, where it appears as an option.

Its aggressive modern front end has gained a new bumper design including the over bumper (cross-over thrust bumper) that fully integrates with the Fiat Toro’s front design. In the Endurance versions, the bed (which Fiat calls the bucket) now receives a sports bar and the rear window has protection bars, all to prevent damage when transporting bulkier loads. A key-controlled alarm is standard on all versions.

Three new unpublished colors (Billet Silver, Deep Brown, and Jazz Blue) add to make up a nine colors pick for the consumer to choose from (two solid, six metallic and one pearled). There are four versions, Endurance, Freedom, Volcano, and Ranch. Toro also features three engine options, a Flex 1.8-liter, 2.4-liter, and Turbodiesel 2.0-liter combined with three different transmissions; 5-speed manual, 6-speed automatic, and 9-speed automatic. Available in front-wheel-drive (4×2) or 4×4, the Fiat Toro features the most extensive lineup of pickups. From family use, to city or paved roads, to work truck models, to luxury models, there is a Toro for everyone.

The 2020 Fiat Toro Freedom models, now feature a new S-Design package for the first time. The S-Design features blacked-out accents and adds a much more sporty look to the Toro. Some special package items are incorporated into the S-Design model, and those items are equipped on the Toro Freedom S-Design models at the Mopar Custom Shop in Goiana (Pernambuco), Brazil, helping to maintain the total quality of the truck.

Toro’s size inaugurates the unprecedented concept of a SUP, a crossover, and a pickup truck. The design has completely changed the landscape and sales of these vehicles across Latin America and South America. Combined refinement, luxury, and comfort with the practicality of a large “bucket” (bed), which has a double-sided tailgate design for easier loading and unloading (similar to the Ram Multifunction Tailgate design). With these attributes, the Fiat Toro quickly captured consumers and became a bestseller. Due to its size, it can bring together the best qualities of small and large pickup trucks.

The Toro family will also receive another model later this year, called the Ultra. The new Ultra model with feature a 2.0-liter diesel mated to a 9-speed automatic and featuring a 4×4 layout. The Fiat Toro Ultra will have even more protection for the “bucket”, allowing for better sealing against water seepage, and includes darkened brand logos and badges. The cover is removable, which will make it easier for the customer to load the “bucket” with larger objects.
