‘Fast & Furious 9’ Will Feature A Number Of Mopars As Shown In New Trailer:

The Fast and the Furious franchise has come a long way from being the cult movie that kicked off a new generation of car enthusiasts. Now a series of heist/action films consisting of off-the-wall stunts and action sequences, the Fast and Furious franchise is one of those series of movies you hate but just can’t get enough of.

Earlier today, Universal Pictures UK has released its second official trailer for the franchise’s 9th installment. You might remember, we got a sneak peek at Vin Diesel’s character Dominic Toretto’s latest Mopar ride in the form of a highly-modified 2019 Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat, equipped with an aftermarket widebody kit, Demon-style hood and wheels, and pair of stripes that run the full length of the car. back in September of 2019. The movie was then scheduled for a release date of May 22nd, 2020, before being changed to an April 2nd, 2021 date due to the ongoing pandemic. Not long after that, Universal Pictures announced that the movie would be pushed back once again to a June 25th, 2021 release in the United States.

The new trailer shows us a few other interesting Mopars being highlighted in the movie. There is a customized Jeep® Grand Cherokee Trackhawk driven Taj Parker (Ludacris), a modified 2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon, and Vin Diesel appears in a magnetized 1968 Dodge Charger, to name just a few.

The movie appears to reunite the cast of most of the franchise, including the cast from “The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift”. With a run time of 3 hours and 8 minutes long, the latest installment of the series will be the longest one yet by 40 minutes.

The movie revolves around the plot of Dom and his crew joining forces to take on the mysterious cyberterrorist named Cipher (Charlize Theron) once again and her skilled assassin and high-performance driver Jakob (John Cena) who happens to be Toretto’s forsaken brother.

What are the odds the Fast and Furious sequels we be around longer than the Dodge brand. God I hope I am wrong and Dodge (and Chrysler) are around for another couple decades!!

Honestly as a car/truck enthusiast, I miss the original plot if the racing and drinking and mostly the showing off of all the cars. Fast and Furious was the new movie series that once again called the youngest generation to world of cars and opened their eyes to the reality that what you drive can be whatever you want; but now it seems that the F&F series is more about the fight scenes and saving the world than it is racing, having fun, and enjoying the world of cars.
