In the automotive world, Brembo is the world’s leader and innovator in braking technology. The company’s signature “red” colored brakes can be found on everything from Formula One to Baja endurance racing to the passenger car sitting in your driveway. Since 2019, Brembo North America CEO, Dan Sandberg, has been hosting a podcast called “Brembo RED” in which he talks to the movers, shakers, newsmakers, celebrities, and personalities in the world of transportation.
Sandberg, who started his career in radio has hosted some pretty interesting interviews since the creation of the show. Guests have included Jay Leno, Graham Rahal, Johnny O’Connell, and Rob MacCachren just to name a few. But in his latest podcast had a chance to discuss the future of electric vehicle design, the muscle car wars, and the upcoming 2022 Jeep® Grand Wagoneer with Head of Chrysler / Dodge / Jeep / Ram / Maserati / FIAT Latin America Design for Stellantis, Ralph Gilles.
During the interview, Ralph discusses what attracted him to car culture, what he looks for in the design of a vehicle, what he thinks about grille designs on electric vehicles, and the look of the all-new Grand Wagoneer. Gilles even talked about the first car he owned that actually meant something to him.
The interview isn’t particularly a long one, but it is an interesting one considering the future of electric vehicles coming in the pipeline.
