AUCTION: 1,400-Mile 2008 Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione

Only 50 Were Sent To The United States...

Alfa Romeo is a name synonymous with Italian luxury sports cars. One of the rarest models from the brand is the 8C Competizione. Introduced in 2006 at the Paris Motor Show, this car was a nod to Alfa Romeo’s rich racing heritage, which included eight-cylinder racing cars in the 1930s. The 8C Competizione featured a carbon-fiber body and steel space frame, along with a powerful 4.7-liter V8 engine.

This particular 2008 Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione is one of only about 90 models that were designated for the U.S. market. It was delivered new to Ferrari of Seattle and has spent most of its life in a collection, having been recently purchased by a dealer. This car has only been driven 1,400 miles and is in pristine condition.

The exterior of this 8C Competizione is finished in Rosso 8C Competizione, a beautiful red color that is highlighted by the car’s carbon-fiber body panels. The wheels are 20-inch alloys with a cloverleaf-style design and are fitted with Pirelli P Zero tires. The brakes are aluminum-look Alfa Romeo-branded Brembo® calipers over cross-drilled rotors at all four corners. The interior features carbon-fiber seats trimmed in Rosso Alfa leather with Poltrona Frau basketweave accents. The dashboard and center console feature brushed aluminum and carbon-fiber trim, and there is a Bose Premium GT sound system with an iPod connection.

Under the hood of this 8C Competizione is a 4.7-liter F136 V8 engine, which produces 444 horsepower at 7,000 rpm and 354 lb.-ft. of torque at 4,750 rpm. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a 6-speed semi-automatic transaxle that can be operated in five different modes of automatic or paddle-controlled shifting. This car also has a limited-slip differential, which is standard.
