Pacifica Hybrid Wins Top Honors From Automotive Science Group

Wins Best Environmental Performance and Best All-around Performance Awards in Annual Study...

The 2018 Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid emerges as an eco-friendlier champion in a world where environmental consciousness is increasingly paramount. Recognized by the Automotive Science Group (ASG) for its exceptional performance, this hybrid minivan has secured top honors, demonstrating its prowess in environmental and all-around performance categories.

Its remarkable fuel efficiency, boasting an impressive 84 MPGe (Miles Per Gallon Equivalent), sets the Pacifica Hybrid apart. It can travel further using less fuel, resulting in fewer emissions and a cleaner environment. With a 33-mile all-electric driving range, it’s not just reducing our reliance on traditional fuels but also leveraging cleaner energy sources, like the increasingly greener U.S. power grid. This forward-thinking approach earned the Pacifica Hybrid Best Environmental Performance award from ASG.

But it’s not just about numbers; it’s about making a real impact. Compared to the average vehicle in its segment, the Pacifica Hybrid slashes CO2 emissions by 34% over its first 6.5 years of life. That’s a significant reduction, contributing positively to our planet’s health. Even when stacked against all 823 minivans, crossovers, and SUVs assessed in ASG’s study, the Pacifica Hybrid maintains its environmental superiority, boasting a carbon footprint that’s 24% smaller than the average large vehicle available in North America in 2018.

However, it’s not just about being green; it’s also about delivering exceptional value and performance. For the second consecutive year, the Pacifica Hybrid clinched the title of Best All-around Performance in its class, according to ASG’s rigorous analysis. This means it’s not only environmentally friendly but also a top performer in terms of functionality, reliability, and overall satisfaction.

ASG’s evaluation goes beyond mere specs. Their comprehensive life-cycle assessment considers everything from raw material extraction and vehicle production to each vehicle’s operational life. ASG provides a holistic view of a vehicle’s impact and value by analyzing environmental, social, and economic performance indicators. And in this regard, the 2018 Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid shines brightly.
