15 Vehicles Stolen from Stellantis Lot in Toledo

Police Recover Two, Majority Still Missing

A Stellantis holding lot in Toledo, Ohio, became the target of an audacious auto heist, as 15 vehicles were stolen in a matter of minutes. While law enforcement has managed to recover two of the stolen vehicles, the rest remain missing. The theft involved a mix of trucks and SUVs, with investigators believing it to be the work of an organized crime ring.

The heist occurred in the early morning at Stellantis’ facility on Stickney Avenue, where thieves infiltrated the secured lot. Surveillance footage indicates a well-planned operation, with the suspects bypassing security measures and swiftly driving off with the stolen vehicles. Among the missing models are Dodge Durangos, Jeep® Wagoneers, and Ram 1500s, which are often targeted by car theft rings.

Authorities were alerted shortly after the vehicles were taken, sparking an intense effort by the Toledo Police Department (TPD) to track down the suspects.

As reports came in of stolen vehicles moving northbound on I-75, Toledo officers sprang into action and engaged in a high-speed pursuit. Some of the suspects managed to cross into Michigan, prompting Monroe County Sheriff’s deputies to take over the chase.

One of the most dramatic pursuits involved a 2025 Dodge Durango, which was spotted maneuvering recklessly across all northbound lanes. The driver attempted to evade law enforcement by cutting off headlights, brake-checking, pursuing officers, and weaving through traffic at dangerous speeds. Despite multiple attempts to deploy stop sticks, the driver continued until the vehicle eventually ran out of fuel near the Nadeau Road exit.

As the stolen Durango rolled to a stop, the driver bailed out, fleeing on foot across the highway median and into a nearby field. Law enforcement quickly deployed a K-9 unit and drone to track him. Minutes later, officers observed a suspicious blue Nissan Rogue pulling into a truck stop parking lot near the crime scene.

A man matching the Durango suspect’s description entered the Rogue, which then attempted to flee southbound on I-75. Monroe County deputies initiated another pursuit, during which the suspect vehicle exited on Front Street in Monroe before re-entering I-75—this time traveling the wrong way. Officers acted swiftly, deploying stop sticks that successfully disabled the Rogue.

Both occupants exited the vehicle and attempted to flee on foot, but law enforcement deployed K-9 units, leading to their immediate apprehension.

Authorities Search for Remaining Vehicles –

Despite the recovery of two vehicles and the arrest of multiple suspects, 13 of the stolen Stellantis vehicles remain unaccounted for. Investigators are working to determine their whereabouts, suspecting that the remaining cars may have been stashed or quickly moved to avoid detection.

Law enforcement officials analyze surveillance footage and gather leads to track missing vehicles. They also suspect that the heist could be linked to a larger network of auto theft operations targeting high-performance Stellantis models.

Authorities urge anyone with information on the stolen vehicles or those involved in the heist to contact the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office Detective Bureau at 734-240-7530 or the Toledo Police Department.
