Truck buyers usually don’t like change. With the all-new 2019 Ram 1500, Ram engineers played it safe with the introduction of the eTorque systems on the 3.6-liter Pentastar and 5.7-liter HEMI engines. Instead of acting like a traditional mild-hybrid system, the system can be used to help that awful delay in modern start/stop scenarios with the newer ESS systems.

Our sister site 5thGenRams.com, was invited down to Lexington, Kentucky by Ram Trucks to drive both of the eTorque power plants. Here is a summary of what we learned from that event…
