Tony Stewart and Leah Pruett Are Expecting First Child

National Hot Rod Association (NHRA) team owner and Top Fuel rookie driver Tony Stewart and his wife Leah Pruett have shared exciting news with their fans. The couple recently announced via social media that they are expecting their first child, a baby boy who is due in November.

In a heartfelt post, Stewart expressed his joy about starting a family with Leah Pruett, describing her as the “incredibly beautiful love of his life.” The announcement was accompanied by a touching video revealing the gender of their upcoming arrival.

“I’m so excited to start a family with this incredibly beautiful love of my life @LeahPruett_TF. Can’t wait to meet this little guy. This is the ultimate 🏆,” Stewart wrote. 

This development marks a significant personal milestone for both Stewart and Pruett. Pruett, who has competed in NHRA for 27 consecutive years, decided to step away from racing temporarily to focus on family planning. Her husband, Tony Stewart, will take over her Top Fuel seat at Tony Stewart Racing (TSR) for the 2024 season.

The couple’s journey into parenthood comes amidst Pruett’s public battle with Hashimoto’s thyroiditis, a condition affecting her thyroid function. Despite this challenge, they remain optimistic about their future as parents.

Stewart and Pruett’s relationship blossomed during the pandemic, leading to Stewart’s involvement in NHRA as a team owner and eventually as a dragster driver himself. Their wedding in 2021 further solidified their bond, announcing their first child as a momentous occasion for their growing family and the NHRA community.
