The Rezvani Tank X – The HELLCAT-Powered Wrangler:
This Isn't Your Ordinary HELLCAT-Powered Wrangler JK...
For people who have never heard of specialty automaker Rezvani Motors, the California-based company builds a sports car called the “Beast” and modifies Jeep Wrangler Unlimited (JK) into a custom offroader called the “Tank”.
The Tank isn’t just your normal aftermarket outfitter sourced SUV. Instead, Rezvani Motors scraps the iconic Jeep body for a futuristic almost stealth-like one. Inspired by military design, gets rid of the Wrangler’s ability to remove the doors, the roof, and fold down the windshield; for a body that looks more like a Brinks armored car. While you lose the ability to remove the roof, integrated auxiliary lights mounted in the roof panel turn night into day at the flip of a switch. The rear doors even open the opposite way of the front, like a 1963 Lincoln Continental.
While the regular Rezvani Tank model can be equipped with the standard Jeep Wrangler (JK) powertrain with the 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 that makes 285 horsepower, it can be optioned with a 6.4-liter SRT HEMI 392 V8 that makes 500 horsepower. That HEMI option will set you back $32,000.
If you don’t feel that 500 horsepower is enough for your next offroad adventure, no problem Rezvani has a solution for you. Enter the Rezvani Tank X. The Tank X trim adds a 707 horsepower 6.2-liter Supercharged SRT HELLCAT HEMI V8 under the hood.
The Tank X has two different offroad suspension setups available for the Tank X. The Offroad Suspension option adds a 6-inch lift, huge 37-inch X 13.5-inch tires, Dynatrac ProRock 44/60 axle set with E-lockers, both front and rear 1350 driveshafts and a 2.5-inch FOX Racing Shocks with remote reservoirs. That package will set a customer back $5,500.
An Extreme Offroad Package can also be fitted to the SUV, that includes a 6-inch lift, massive 37-inch X 13.5-inch tires, Dynatrac ProRock XD60/80 axle set with air lockers and an air compressor, front 1350 and rear 1410 driveshafts, Dynatrac ProGrip front and rear brakes as well as 2.5-inch FOX Racing Internal Bypass Shocks with DSC. That package comes with a hefty price tag of $12,500.
The Tank X also gets the option of equipping the vehicle with a set of R1 Concepts brake system. The system includes large 16-inch drilled rotors with 8-piston brake calipers. That option will set you back $4,500. Standard are GRID off-road wheels with an option for T6061 aircraft FORGED aluminum custom design wheels.
Inside, the Tank X keeps the Wrangler JK dash. But the rest of the interior is unique and can be customized in several different ways. The Leather Seat package includes leather seats, suede headliner and suede trunk surround for $3,500. While for $3,000 more, you can option your Tank X with the Leather Seat & Full Leather Interior package. That package includes everything you get in the Leather Seat package with the addition of leather door panels, leather instrument panel, leather console, and your choice of five different colors of contrast stitching (Red, White, Black, Gray, or Yellow). There are also six different leather seat designs a customer can choose from.
On the infotainment side, the Tank X can come with an optional 11-inch touch screen with Apple CarPlay custom fitted into the dash. It can be paired with a Premium Audio package which consists of 2-pairs of Audison 6.5-inch speakers, 2-pairs of speaker adapters, Alpine 5-channel amplifier, and a JBL 10-inch subwoofer with a built-in enclosure. The price for the 11-inch touchscreen comes in at $3,500, while the Premium Audio package is a $2699 option.
If you audiophiles don’t think that package is good enough, you can opt for the Ultimate Sound System package. The Ultimate Sound System package includes 2-pair of Focal KX2 6.5-inch speakers, 2-pair of speaker adapters, 4-channel amplifier, a custom box with 2 JL Audio TW3 12-inch subwoofers, and 2 custom amp racks at a cost of $8,200.
With its aggressive body styling, blind spots can be worrisome. For $750, the Tank X can be equipped with side cameras. These cameras on the right and left sides of the vehicle give an automatic view of the side of the vehicle while driving.
Have difficulty seeing at night while driving? Tank X also can be optioned with a FLIR Thermal Night Vision System. The night vision system will set up back $5,500.
