The 2019 Jeep® J6 Concept was a standout creation that paid tribute to the classic Jeep trucks of the late 1970s while showcasing prototype and production parts from the Jeep® Performance Parts (JPP) division at Mopar. Based on the two-door 2019 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon (JL), the J6 concept maximized cargo space with a large, functional six-foot bed—12 inches longer than the standard Jeep Gladiator’s bed.

One of the J6’s most striking features was its Metallic Brilliant Blue paint, a throwback to the 1978 Jeep Honcho pickup. The concept stretched 201 inches in overall length and had a wheelbase of 118.4 inches, matching that of the Jeep Wrangler Unlimited. Its extended bed came equipped with a body-color spray-in bed liner and a sturdy 2.25-inch steel JPP sport/roll bar fitted with four 5-inch LED lights, each producing 4,800 lumens.
The Jeep J6 Concept rode on prototype 17-inch beadlock wheels finished in a unique Brass Monkey color with a silver beadlock ring. These wheels were wrapped in aggressive 37-inch off-road tires, and the stance was further enhanced by a production JPP 2-inch lift kit for added trail clearance. The bed also housed a prototype spare tire carrier capable of storing a 37-inch tire.

For off-road durability, the J6 sported a custom 2-inch steel stinger bar bolted to the stock Rubicon steel front bumper and rock rails reinforced with 2-inch steel tubes welded to standard Gladiator rails. The removable hardtop and heritage-style J6 badging on the tailgate and fenders gave the concept even more character.
Lighting was a key feature of the J6 Concept, with a total of ten 5-inch LED lights mounted across the roll bar, A-pillars, and stinger bar to provide unmatched trail visibility. The custom Mopar Satin Black grille and Jeep Gladiator Rubicon hood were further enhanced with Mopar hood latches sporting the Jeep logo.

Under the hood, the J6 packed a 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 engine, boosted by a JPP cold-air intake for added performance. Inside, the concept’s retro-inspired style continued with Metallic Brilliant Blue instrument panel inserts and Katzkin leather seats with matching blue stitching. A classic Jeep badge adorned the horn pad, while an auxiliary switch bank controlled the extensive lighting setup. Additional Mopar accessories like a bright pedal kit, all-weather floor mats, and molded doorsill guards rounded out the interior package.
The 2019 Jeep J6 Concept was a masterful blend of retro design and modern performance, showcasing Jeep’s ability to honor its heritage while pushing off-road capability forward.
