Collectibles: Durango R/T Comes To Life In Diecast Form:

Greenlight Collectibles Gives Durango Fans Their Ultimate Tow Rig...

I’m always on the hunt for a new Mopar diecast to add to my collection, but I didn’t even think of the possibility of there being a Durango R/T diecast car. Well, turns out such a vehicle does exist! Thanks to a bunch of mindless wandering around the internet, I’ve found out that Greenlight of all brands actually has two Durango R/Ts you can buy. One in white with a trailer and one in black with dual-red racing stripes. The latter doesn’t come with a trailer.

The white Durango R/T with a trailer is part of the Hitch & Tow series 15 of Greenlight collectibles. In this series of vehicles, there’s also a 2017 RAM 2500 with a new “Aerovault” trailer and two Chevrolet models. The Durango R/T with it’s glass display trailer would make the perfect vehicle to get if you’re trying to set a scene where a Durango is towing a Mopar showpiece. Yes, indeed, the tailgate to the trailer does actually open. So you could do a little photography session with a Durango towing a Plymouth Duster with a 340 inside the glass display trailer. Awesome!

It looks like there’s also a green version of this model but they seem to be pretty rare. As only one place I’ve found has it and it’s currently out of stock.

If you don’t want to get a Durango R/T with a trailer then Greenlight has you covered there too. Under the GL Muscle Series 21, you can get a black Durango R/T with dual-racing stripes in red. Which is timely, considering Dodge announced you could get a Durango R/T with stripes not too long ago.

“But where can I find these models?” On Greenlight’s website it says they sell to Hobby Lobby, Amazon, AutoZone, Target, Hot Topic, Pepboys, H-E-B, Walmart USA, Canada and Mexico, House of Blues, Ron Jon Surf Shop, Hot Topic, f.y.e, Meijer, Walt Disney World, and Universal Orlando Resort. Amazon and eBay are probably the easiest ways to get a hold of these models though.

This is very good news for Mopar fans looking to expand their diecast Mopar collection. May more diecast Mopars come soon!
