Ram Shows Off New Heavy Duty Tradesman To The Public:

Ram 3500 Tradesman Cummins Regular Cab, Shown At Work Truck Show In Indy...

Recently, our sister site HDRams.com got a chance to get some time behind the wheel of the new 2019 Ram 3500 Tradesman. The Ram Trucks team supplied us with the Regular Cab Long Box 4×2 Dually equipped with the new 6.7-liter High-Output (H.O.) Cummins, 6-speed Aisin automatic transmission and the Max Tow Package. They then attached the truck to a trailer with a Case backhoe and a bunch of weight, to show us exactly how well the new Cummins with it’s 1,000 lb.-ft of torque could tow 35,100 lbs.

After being absent from the Detroit, Chicago and Toronto Auto Shows, the Ram Trucks brand is now giving the public the chance to see the new Ram 3500 Tradesman up close at the 2019 NTEA Work Truck Show in Indianapolis, Indiana.

While the Ram 3500 Tradesman Regular Cab Long Box 4×2 Dually with the new H.O. 6.7-liter Cummins and 4:10 gear ratio can tow up to 35,100 pounds via gooseneck, Ram also announced that the Ram 3500 Tradesman in the same configuration with 6.4-liter HEMI V-8 can haul 7,680 pounds. Both figures are the highest in the segment for towing and payload for the 2019 model year.

The Tradesman trim can be equipped as a bare bones hard-working work truck with a manually shifting transfercase, vinyl floors and crank windows (two door configuration). But, you can also add the Chrome Appearance Package to the Tradesman and make the entry-level Ram look a lot more upscale.

The vocational-use Ram 2500/3500 Tradesman receives unique Construction Yellow gauge needles, a new 3.5-inch greyscale screen in the gauge cluster, plated-finished door handles and durable textured paint.

Pricing for the new 2019 Ram 2500 Tradesman starts at $33,395 U.S. MSRP (excluding destination), while the 2019 Ram 3500 Tradesman starts at $34,845 U.S. MSRP (excluding destination).
