Jeep® Brazil Dominated SUV Market In Brazil During The Month Of July:

Renegade Continues To Be The Best-Selling SUV...

It has already been an important year for the Jeep® brand, making the 80th Anniversary of the iconic American brand. However, in Brazil, the sales numbers by the brand also show great prominence, placing this year as a high point in the brand’s history in its second-best market globally. Jeep Brazil, once again achieved a record in its market share among light vehicles, with an 8.3% market share and 13,546 vehicles registered during the month. It is worth mentioning that in June, Jeep had already reached its largest market share ever in the Brazilian market.

2021 Jeep® Renegade Moab. (Jeep Brazil).

“We are breaking record after record and managed to maintain the fifth place in the general ranking of brands, with Jeep being the only one in the market that sells only SUVs. And, in this category specifically, we managed to achieve, for the second time this year, the feat of having one in four SUVs of the brand, with a 25.1% share. In other words, we dominate a quarter of the fastest-growing segment in terms of relevance and competition in Brazil. We hadn’t reached this rate since January 2017, which came as a result of the great success of the Compass launch”, comments Everton Kurdejak, Director of Commercial Operations at Jeep in Brazil.

Jeep once again secured the top two places in the SUV ranking, with Renegade in the first place and Compass in second. In the total market, both models are among the ten best-sellers with the Renegade in sixth and the Compass in seventh.

Compass reached its second-best record in history in July, with 6,670 units sold and a 4.1% market share, its highest percentage to date. In relation to medium SUVs, the newly renovated model remains in the first position, with a difference of more than 10% points in relation to the second-place vehicle in its segment.

2021 Jeep® Renegade Limited 4×4. (Jeep Brazil).

Renegade had sold a total of 6,854 units in July, with a 4.2% share of the total industry. In the compact SUV segment, it remains the leader, with 21.1% of the segment’s market share. This leadership guarantees the model the top ranking of SUVs in general.

2021 Jeep® Compass S. (Jeep Brazil).

“These results of the two Jeep models produced in Brazil show how well we hit with the innovations we brought to both of them in 2021. The Compass brings a lot of comforts, technology, performance, and sophistication, qualities that were even more evident in the renovation of the model that recently arrived. The Jeep Renegade was the model chosen to debut the new Adventure Intelligence platform and, thus, it was the first connected car from Stellantis around here. Each in their own way, the two are prepared for any adventure, whether to reach the top of a mountain or to reach and maintain the leadership of their segments. And soon we will launch the Commander, another model made in Goiana and that will revolutionize the market. All of this only proves the power that Jeep is in the SUV segment”, commented Alexandre Aquino, Director of Jeep for Latin America.
