Next-Gen Jeep® Compass (J4U) Teased Ahead of May 6 Debut
Jeep Drops More Teasers, Confirms Powertrains for Europe

The highly anticipated next-generation Jeep® Compass (J4U) is set to make its official debut on Sunday, May 6. While Jeep has remained tight-lipped about many details, the automaker has released additional teaser images showcasing the compact SUV’s bold new design.

For the latest teaser campaign, Jeep collaborated with renowned Italian photographer Alessandro Dobici, who conducted an exclusive photoshoot at the Melfi Assembly Plant in Italy. This facility will be the first to produce the next-gen Compass. Dobici, known for his refined black-and-white portraits, has worked with leading figures in the art, fashion, and entertainment industries, adding a sophisticated touch to Jeep’s promotional materials.

Jeep has also confirmed key powertrain details for the European market. As we previously reported, the new Compass will be available in multiple electrified configurations, including an e-HYBRID, an e-HYBRID plug-in hybrid (PHEV), and a fully battery-electric vehicle (BEV). The e-HYBRID models will be front-wheel drive (FWD), while the BEV will feature Jeep’s signature 4xe all-wheel-drive (AWD) system.

Powertrain options will differ across global markets. According to insider sources, Jeep recently paused development of the North American variant to reevaluate powertrain choices for the U.S. and Canada. This decision suggests potential modifications to better align with market demands and regulatory requirements.

Visually, the new Compass embraces a more modern and rugged aesthetic. Squared-off headlights, a pronounced stance, and sharper lines contribute to a more aggressive and confident presence. Built on Stellantis’ STLA Medium platform, the SUV is expected to grow slightly, offering more interior space for passengers and cargo.
