Alfa Romeo Set To Unveil An 800 Horsepower Supercar In August!

If Stellantis is doing this with the Nettuno 3.0L V6, what would stop them from doing this same type of setup with the 3.0L Hurricane powertrains? It honestly comes as no surprise to be honest and quite frankly with 800hp, that puts it just above the Redeye's 797hp but not only that it puts it just above the numbers I said a few weeks ago about what roughly the hurricane hybrid powertrains could produce (2.0L = 375hp/470tq, 3.0L S.O = 542hp/651tq, 3.0L H.O = 632hp/683tq or 672hp/714tq). If Stellantis is planning on sharing the Nettuno hybrid in it's other cars, It would only make sense to put that in the STLA: Large performance vehicles. Something with Redeye-beating performance, plus the ability to move around under complete EV power and keep the EPA guys off their backs definitely makes sense. Throw in some Direct Connection performance upgrades, Jailbreak options and all of the other Dodge goodies and we're good. At this point the brand would have it's electrified performance vehicles and still have room for it's full BEV performance vehicles such as the Daytona 340, 440 & Banshee. Win-win

Did anyone notice there is a potential key missing player in this supercar platform sharing story.....DODGE. Did not escape me that Dodge still has no Viper replacement but claims American performance brand dominance. This might be a stretch, but so is the 33 with such limited production and astronomical cost, it has no true affordability factor or availability to real life people.
I’d suggest Alfa Romeo and Dodge team up on a less exotic version of this car that puts them in the Corvette fighter category. Agree, Dodge has the goods right now to power this next generation Viper and Alfa Romeo must give their loyalists something super but attainable and this alliance could be a boon to both brands. Hope springs eternal, if you take time to notice what’s missing.

It would be incredible to see the Viper Return with an 800hp Hybrid twin turbo powertrain with an evolutionary style that stems from the last Viper we had. It's hard for me to see how to improve on the amazing styling that the last Viper had because to me, that car was nearly perfect. It'd be nice to see the viper return as an everyday sports car/super car. Something that is easier to live with, much like the Nissan GTR but obviously still a Viper. It still needs to have that iconic Viper shape, side exhaust, deep front fender vents, and all of the typical Viper cues but honestly, having this as a 2+2 fastback would actually be incredibly awesome! Especially with 800hp and AWD. I'd rather see a new Viper than a new Challenger TBH. The Viper actually makes more sense to me in the Mopar lineup than the Challenger does. I know alot of people will disagree but it would also be nice to see the viper come with different powertrains as well. This is another platform that would benefit with hybrid Hurricane I-6 twin turbo powertrains. Add a few Jailbreak and Direct Connection upgrade packages, and things like that to this car and the Corvette is in trouble! An AWD American Sports Car/ Supercar that can be daily-driven and more useful than a corvette and be competitive/dominant? Where do we sign up?!
