RECALL: 26,776 Units 2024 Chrysler Minivans For Traction Control Issue

Traction Control May Not Function Properly When Cruise Control Is Activated...

Stellantis (FCA US, LLC) is recalling approximately 26,776 of its 2024 Chrysler Pacifica and Voyager minivans due to a potential issue with the traction control system (TCS). The TCS may not function properly when cruise control is activated, which could increase the risk of a crash.

For Pacifica models, the suspect period began on April 28, 2023, coinciding with the start of 2024 model year production, and concluded on March 20, 2024. As for the Voyager’s suspect period began on September 14, 2023, when the 2024 model commenced, and ended on March 20, 2024, with the containment of suspect vehicles under plant control. Vehicle production and engineering software change records were used to determine the suspect period.

Recall Chronology – 

  • On February 8, 2024, FCA US LLC (“FCA US”) Technical Safety and Regulatory Compliance (“TSRC”) organization opened an investigation into some 2024 MY Chrysler Pacifica/Voyager vehicles potentially built with a suspect throttle calibration.
  • During February 2024, FCA US TSRC worked with engineering to understand software change history and vehicle behavior in certain conditions.
  • As of March 21, 2024, FCA US is not aware of any customer assistance records, warranty claims or field reports potentially related to this issue for all markets.
  • As of March 21, 2024, FCA US is not aware of any accidents or injuries potentially related to this issue for all markets.
  • On March 21, 2024, FCA US determined, through the Vehicle Regulations Committee, to conduct a voluntary safety recall of the affected vehicles.

Dealers will update the TCS software, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed on May 17, 2024. Owners may contact FCA customer service at 1-800-853-1403. FCA’s number for this recall is 22B.
