Supercharged HEMI 1970 Dodge Coronet Super Bee Up For Grabs

Beautiful Restomod Coronet Ready For A New Home...

A unique 1970 Dodge Coronet Super Bee, significantly upgraded and modified, is currently up for auction on BringATrailer.com. Bidding will end on Monday, July 29, at 2:40 p.m. EDT.

Acquired by the current owner in 2006, this Super Bee underwent extensive modifications and refurbishments between 2009 and 2023. The car is now powered by a 6.1-liter (370 cubic-inch) HEMI® V8 engine taken from a 2008 Dodge Challenger SRT8, paired with a five-speed automatic transmission. The engine is further enhanced with a Vortech V-3 supercharger and a charge-air cooler, promising a significant boost in performance. The car also features a Hotwire Auto wiring harness and a Champion four-row aluminum radiator for improved cooling.

The exterior of the Super Bee is refinished in metallic purple with black accents, including black stripes on the quarter panels, a black grille, a custom chin spoiler, and an AAR ’Cuda–style rear spoiler. Other features include twin hood scoops, AeroCatch locking hood pins, aftermarket headlamps, dual side mirrors, and chrome bumpers and trim. The bodywork replaced the quarter panels, hood, doors, trunk pan, chrome brightwork, and tinted glass.

This Super Bee rides on 20-inch American Racing wheels, with 8-inch wide fronts and 10-inch wide rears, fitted with 245/35 front and 315/35 rear NITTO tires. It boasts a modern suspension system from a Challenger SRT8, including power-assisted rack-and-pinion steering, front coilovers, and a multilink rear suspension with coil springs. The braking system consists of Brembo disc brakes and slotted rotors on all four corners.

Inside, the car features a custom black leather interior with orange stitching, bolstered late-model front bucket seats, and a suede headliner. Amenities include Vintage Air climate control, power locks, cruise control, keyless entry, and remote start via a Scytek Electronics alarm system. An Alpine CDE-172BT head unit controls a six-speaker audio system, providing modern connectivity and sound quality.

The dashboard is equipped with Mopar-branded AutoMeter gauges, including a 160-mph speedometer with Abbott Enterprises GPS, a 10k-rpm tachometer, and various gauges for monitoring the car’s vital statistics. A Tuff-style steering wheel is mounted on an Ididit tilting column. The digital odometer shows 1,500 miles, though the true mileage is unknown.

Power from the upgraded HEMI® V8 is delivered to the rear wheels through a W5A580 five-speed automatic transmission and a Sure Grip limited-slip differential. The custom 3-inch exhaust system features MagnaFlow mufflers for a throaty exhaust note. Dynamat insulation and LizardSkin undercoating have been applied to ensure a quieter and cooler ride.

This 1970 Dodge Coronet Super Bee comes with an HP Tuners MPVI3 OBDII tuning interface and a clean Kentucky title in the seller’s name. The car, having been tuned by OST Dyno of Slippery Rock, Pennsylvania, represents a blend of classic muscle car aesthetics with modern performance and comfort features.
