Stellantis Sets New Production Records in South America

Automaker Achieves Historic Milestones in 2024...

Stellantis has achieved a significant milestone in South America. In November, it set a new production record of 90,171 vehicles, surpassing the previous record of 88,709 units set in August. The achievement underscores Stellantis’ leadership in the region’s automotive market and its commitment to innovation and efficiency.

In 2024, all Stellantis plants in South America reached remarkable production volumes, driven by strong market demand and the launch of innovative products. This performance reflects the company’s dedication to meeting consumer needs while pushing operational boundaries.

Brazil Leads the Charge –

The Stellantis Automotive Complex in Betim, Minas Gerais, has been a powerhouse, setting consecutive monthly records since August. In November, it produced 45,486 vehicles—the highest monthly volume since Stellantis’ formation in 2021.

Additionally, the Betim engine complex set its own record, manufacturing 77,651 engines in November. Other facilities also contributed significantly, with the Goiana Automotive Complex in Pernambuco producing 22,381 vehicles in August and the Polo de Porto Real in Rio de Janeiro reaching 5,055 units in October.

Advancements in Argentina –

Stellantis’ operations in Argentina also saw major milestones. The Córdoba Automotive Complex set a record of 8,095 vehicles produced in February, while the El Palomar Complex achieved its highest-ever production in November, with 7,850 units surpassing its previous record from August 2023.

Stellantis’ success is bolstered by the launch of cutting-edge models like the Fiat Pulse and Fastback hybrid-flex vehicles, which feature the company’s Bio-Hybrid technology. These models align with Stellantis’ strategy of offering clean, safe, affordable mobility options.

Looking Ahead –

South America remains a key market for Stellantis, as evidenced by its R$32 billion (approximately USD $6.3 billion) investment in the region. This funding will drive the development of over 40 new products, eight powertrains, and four platforms in the coming years. Additionally, Stellantis is focusing on decarbonization technologies and strategic business expansions.
