Stellantis Offers Employee Pricing Amid Rising Tariffs
Customers Can Now Choose Between Employee Pricing or Existing Incentives

Stellantis is stepping up to keep customers in the showroom despite rising vehicle costs due to new import tariffs. Following Ford’s lead, Stellantis is now offering employee discount pricing to everyday customers throughout April.

The move comes just as a new 25% tariff on imported vehicles has gone into effect, making some models more expensive to bring into the U.S. market. In response, Stellantis has launched its new promotion, “America’s Freedom of Choice,” giving buyers the option to choose either the usual cash incentives or opt for special employee pricing on all remaining 2024 models in dealer stock.
“This week we launched aggressive and consistent incentive and marketing support for April,” said Stellantis spokesperson Jodi Tinson. “Including an exciting and competitive enhancement that will allow our customers ‘America’s Freedom of Choice’ between Employee Price or current cash incentives.”
Stellantis is encouraging customers to visit their local dealerships to find out which deal works best for them. Offers will vary by location, but the goal is the same: to help offset any price hikes caused by tariffs and get vehicles moving off the lot.
The company has had a rough start to 2025, reporting a 12% drop in U.S. sales in the first quarter. Much of that loss came from a slowdown in fleet sales to rental companies, government agencies, and businesses. On top of that, Stellantis has announced temporary shutdowns at two of its assembly plants: Windsor Assembly Plant in Ontario, which makes the Chrysler Pacifica, Chrysler Voyager, and Dodge Charger Daytona, and the Toluca plant in Mexico, which builds the Jeep Compass and new Jeep Wagoneer S. The shutdowns will last two weeks and one month, respectively.

The employee pricing offer is expected to help ease some of the pressure from both higher production costs and shrinking market share, giving customers more reason to buy now rather than wait.
The “America’s Freedom of Choice” program runs now through April 30.
