Stellantis’ Luton Plant Rolls Out First Fiat Scudo Commercial Van!
Luton Plant Produces First FIAT Vehicle In The United Kingdom...
Stellantis’ Luton Assembly Plant in the United Kingdom (U.K.) has expanded its manufacturing portfolio with the start of production of the new Fiat Scudo light commercial vehicle (LCV). There has already been strong demand and a high amount of orders for the new midsized Scudo prior to its launch.
It marks the first time that a FIAT vehicle has been manufactured in the U.K. Both right- and left-hand drive models will be produced at the facility for several European markets.
The Fiat Scudo will also be produced in Hordain, France as well, where the battery-electric (BEV) e-Scudo is manufactured for all markets.
Luton will continue to manufacture internal combustion engine (ICE) derivatives of the Opel/Vauxhall Vivaro, Citroën Jumpy/Dispatch, and Peugeot Expert LCVs.
“It’s great news for [the] Luton Plant to start manufacturing the Fiat Scudo,” said Mark Noble, Luton Plant Director. “This means we now produce all of the Stellantis brand’s midsized LCVs, for both the U.K. and the European markets”.
