Stellantis Expands Free2Move Car-Sharing Program To Austin, Texas!

Yes, we have been talking a lot about Free2Move recently. Stellantis’ flexible mobility solutions brand has been expanding at a rapid rate across the United States. Now, the car-sharing firm is adding another American city to its ever-growing list of Mobility Hubs – this time it’s Austin, Texas.

Austinites should already be able to choose from a fleet of 100 Jeep® Renegades. Austin residents are able to book a Jeep Renegade through the Free2Move app for a rental by the minute, by the day, or by the month.

Free2Move has prioritized Austin as a Mobility Hub thanks to the city’s commitment to bring additional mobility services to the community. The Free2Move Jeep Renegade fleet is aimed at offering local residents to use in their daily urban transportation activities. 

The Free2Move Austin Mobility Hub will focus on the following…

• Car-Sharing & Rent – With services ranging from minutes to up to seven days, users can access vehicles parked in the Free2Move service area; customers can leave the service area and pause their trip, as long as the trip ends within the designated service area; parking, gas, and insurance are included
• Car On-Demand – For month-to-month subscription, without long-term commitment; all-inclusive service with maintenance, insurance, and 24/7 assistance all in a single price; cars will be delivered to the customer’s doorstep

Over the next few weeks, Free2Move Austin will expand its fleet to over 150 vehicles.

According to Free2Move, 72% of Free2Move’s customers are under the age of 40. It also says that 52% of it’s customers use the service several times per month. With more than 50,000 university students in the Austin area, Free2Move expects that demographic to make up a lot of its business. In addition to its business-to-consumer services, Free2Move will also provide special offers to businesses, including coupon codes to encourage employees to use the mobility solution.
