Our friends at Real Fast Fotography, caught a pair of 2019 Dodge Charger SRT HELLCAT prototypes running around the streets of Auburn Hills, Michigan today. Both cars have camouflage over the front ends, while one of them had camouflage over the SRT HELLCAT badging on the side of the car. However, the SRT HELLCAT badge was exposed on the rear of the car.
We know that the 2019 Dodge Challenger SRT HELLCAT is getting a new hood design for the next model year. It is also apparently getting a couple of special trim models (one being the rumored “Drag Pack”) with more than 707 horsepower.
Besides the front end treatment of these cars, the rest of the car looks to be unchanged for 2019. Front end styling under the camouflage from what we can see looks very close to the current car.
The next generation Dodge Charger will appear in late 2020 as a 2021 model. But that isn’t stopping Dodge from making the best of the last couple of the current Charger’s life, special. We hear a widebody Charger is on the way for the 2020 model year as well. But for now, it’s still exciting to see Dodge building awesome muscle cars.
