Santa’s Got A Brand New Ride, TRX Style:
Digital Artist Comes Up With The Ultimate Sleigh...
There are only 14 more days until Santa pilots his sleigh around the globe delivering toys to children who have been good during this difficult year. It was around this time two years ago that the Dodge//SRT brand presented its Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat “Redeye Express” sleigh to the public. The heavily modified 797 horsepower two-door muscle car ditched its wheels for a set of skis, cut the roof off, and ditched the doors and trunk lid for easier egress for Santa to get all those presents.
Fast forward to 2020, our friend Oscar (known as wb.artist20) has a new take on the ultimate ride for Kris Kringle.
Taking the 2021 MotorTrend Truck of the Year®, the 2021 Ram 1500 TRX as the basis for this latest creation, Santa’s newest ride is made to haul a lot more toys than its predecessor. Powered by the 702 horsepower supercharged 6.2-liter HEMI HELLCAT V8 engine, the 2021 Ram 1500 TRX delivers a top speed of 118 mph on its way to being the quickest, fastest, and most powerful mass-produced half-ton pickup truck in the world. That’s great for tackling those huge snowdrifts in places like Canada and the Northern United States.
Changes to the TRX include updated red and green LED lighting to showcase the “Christmas spirit”. Red LED lights replace the daytime running lights, red clearance lights in the front bumper, red LED fog lamps, red and green LED clearance lights integrated into the hood scoop, and green LED twin bi-functional projector headlamps. The “flow-through” R-A-M grille badge is highlighted with white LED lights making sure everyone knows that if Santa can’t Dodge it this Christmas, he is going to RAM it!
The front independent suspension and wheels have been replaced with a snowmobile-like front suspension, allowing for the ultimate handling in the snow. A wider ski stance offers sure-footed cornering and improved bump performance.
Maximizing the utility of the TRX’s 5-foot, 7-inch pickup box, Santa has no problem loading up the TRX’s 1,310 lb. payload with the latest toys for the children of the world.
With its heated and ventilated premium leather bolstered seats with perforated suede accents, Santa will be comfortable in any climate. Ram’s all-new Head-Up Display (HUD) unit can show up to five different content areas at once, including Lane Departure, Lane Keep Assist, adaptive cruise control, turn-by-turn navigation, current speed, current gear, and speed limit all accessible through the 12-inch Uconnect 4C touchscreen can make sure Santa delivers all of his gifts to the proper house.
