RECALL: Jeep® Brazil Recalls Wrangler For Steering Column Wiring Harness:

276 Models Affected...

Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) Brazil is issuing a recall for 2019 and 2020 Jeep® Wrangler models. According to recall, there is a possibility that the steering column wiring harness may come into contact with other components of the steering column, resulting in a short circuit causing damage to one or more circuits. This failure may result in the loss of electrical steering assistance and/or unexpected shutdown, increasing the risk of an accident.

The recall sites 276 Jeep Wrangler units are involved with the recall, with non-sequential chassis numbers (last eight digits) between KW562465 to LW275126. According to the recall, the repair time will take approximately one hour. The services will be carried out by prior appointment in order to avoid crowding, respecting the security guidelines of the Ministry of Health. For this reason, it is important that the vehicle owner contacts the dealership of his/her choice to be informed about the expected service.
