Stellantis (FCA US, LLC) is recalling approximately 53 units of its popular 2025 Ram 1500 pickup trucks due to incorrect headlight module software, which may cause the headlights to become inoperative. As a result, these vehicles fail to comply with the Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) No. 108 requirements, “Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment.”
A nonfunctional headlamp can reduce forward visibility, increasing the risk of a vehicle crash without prior warning.
Some 2025 model-year Ram 1500 vehicles may have been built with incorrect headlamp module software, which could render the headlamps inoperative.
Affected Production Period –
The suspect period began on September 20, 2024, when the first vehicle containing incorrect software in the headlamp module was produced and ended on October 4, 2024, when the last vehicle with the incorrect software was produced. Engineering release, supplier, and vehicle manufacturing records were used to determine the affected population.
Similar vehicles not included in this recall contain the correct headlamp module software.
