On Wednesday, we talked about how Ram Trucks was returning as the Official Truck Sponsor of the 99th Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade®. Yesterday, Ram once again proved why it continues to hold that title — putting its toughest trucks and vans to work to ensure the holiday celebration rolled smoothly through the heart of New York City.
The 11-year partnership continued with a total of 76 Ram vehicles deployed throughout the event. 28 Ram trucks towed the massive and colorful floats seen on television, while 48 additional Ram vehicles handled staging, logistics, and behind-the-scenes work that most viewers never get to see. These rigs don’t just show up to look pretty — they’re there because the parade depends on real-world towing capability and reliability.
Leading off the spectacle, Tom Turkey rode proudly atop a Ram 5500, kicking off the familiar fanfare along Central Park West. And when the big finale arrived, a Ram 2500 Rebel escorted Santa Claus straight to Macy’s Herald Square to officially start the holiday season. A number of Heavy Duty trucks were even wrapped in special designs — perfectly matching floats like the Pirate Ship, Tom Turkey, and Santa’s Sleigh.
Of course, towing the big floats was only part of the mission. Ram ProMaster vans hauled equipment, props, and support assets across the nearly three-mile parade route. Low step-in height, smart cargo space, and dependable performance made ProMaster the unsung hero behind the scenes.
Before the big day, Head of American Brands and Ram CEO Tim Kuniskis, summed up Ram’s purpose in this partnership perfectly, saying: “Nothing stops America from celebrating the holidays with friends and family, and nothing stops Ram from keeping the parade rolling.”
Yesterday, Ram backed up that statement — once again proving its capability, durability, and American-built spirit in front of millions of viewers nationwide.
The 99th Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade aired live on NBC, Telemundo, and Peacock, spreading joy to families across the country — with Ram powering the magic every step of the way.
