Mint Condition Limited Edition Could Be Yours...

Over the last 11 years, the Mopar brand has released a limited edition each year outfitted with select high-performance parts and appearance items straight from the Mopar parts catalog. One of the most popular vehicles from the Mopar lineup was the 2011 Dodge Charger Mopar ‘11.

Based on the 2011 Dodge Charger R/T Road & Track Package, the Mopar ’11 is powered by the legendary 5.7-liter HEMI® with 370 horsepower and 395 lb.-ft. of torque, the specially equipped Charger includes the “Super Trac Pac” option that pushes the capabilities of the 5.7-liter HEMI in acceleration, handling, and braking.

The HEMI was mated to the tried and tough 5-speed Mercedes-sourced W5A580 automatic transmission. Mopar aficionados will appreciate the modern take on the classic “Pistol Grip” shifter, which allows the driver to shift gears via AutoStick. Drivers could select a higher or lower gear while the transmission controller helped to prevent the possibility of an over-rev condition.

At the rear of the car, the differential was equipped with the 3.91:1 final-drive ratio for enhanced acceleration – unique to the Mopar Charger. The Mopar ’11 was capable of 0 to 60 mph in the low 5-second range.

What made the Mopar ’11 unique was the number of enhancements to the chassis include adding a larger front 30mm solid stabilizer bar and rear 20mm solid stabilizer bar, increased from 27mm and 16mm (respectively). Adding to the overall stability and handling of the Mopar ’11 were cross-car braces located at both the front and rear shock towers. For increased luggage space, the rear tower-to-tower brace could be easily removed.

Specific-design, 20-inch x 8-inch “Envy” wheels were fitted with Goodyear F1 Supercar 245/45ZR20 tires at all four corners. Wheels were painted a high-gloss black with a five-spoke design and featured a 45mm offset and include specific Mopar center caps, which complemented the overall ”Pitch Black” exterior finish of the car.

Only available in a “Pitch Black” finish, exterior highlights of the Mopar ’11 included a pair of Mopar Blue racing stripes running from the front air dam across the hood and over the roof ending at the bottom of the rear fascia. Ornamentation was limited to a front grille and rear-deck Mopar badge. A rear spoiler was standard on the Charger special-edition model.

Inside, a set of unique Katzkin leather seats are striped and stitched in Mopar Blue thread. The leather-wrapped steering wheel is identically trimmed. Engine-turned instrument bezels and a special identification plaque identify the vehicle as part of a limited edition of 1,000 (900 of which were sold in the U.S.) are affixed to the instrument panel (I/P). Owners also received a custom Mopar key fob. Bright pedal covers, premium floor mats with the Mopar logo, and front-door sill entry guards featuring the Mopar logo were also included with the package.

Customers who purchased a Mopar ’11 Charger received a personalized owner kit in a customized Mopar ’11 box. The kit included a certificate with the vehicle identification number (VIN), the exact date of manufacture, and the number of the vehicle. The kit also included a brochure that highlighted the unique features of the vehicle and exclusive Mopar ’11 merchandise.

This example shown is probably the lowest mileage offering of the Mopar ’11 still available. Currently, for sale at the Volo Auto Sales in Volo, Illinois, the car was purchased by the dealer of the estate of the original owner. The car currently has 34 original miles on the odometer, the car is mint and still has its original window sticker, Mopar ’11 owners kit, and original brochures for the car.

When the Mopar ’11 hit showrooms back in 2011, the car went for a U.S. Manufacturer Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) of $39,750 including the destination fee. Volo Auto Sales are now asking $53,998 for the car 10 years later. According to the dealer, the car has been appraised for $56,000, but it wasn’t said who appraised the vehicle.
