Ram Launches the 2025 Ram 1500 (DT) for Brazilian Market
Launch Trims: Laramie and Laramie Night Edition Models...
Ram has officially launched the updated 2025 Ram 1500 (DT), targeting Brazil, its largest market outside North America. This latest iteration of the Ram 1500 showcases the powerful twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter Hurricane6 standard-output (S/O) engine, enhancing performance, fuel efficiency, and emissions, solidifying the model’s reputation in the full-size gas pickup segment since its introduction.
Performance and Power –
The 2025 Ram 1500 is engineered for those who prioritize strength and exclusivity. At the heart of the truck is the advanced Hurricane6 S/O engine, which delivers an impressive 426 horsepower (317 kW) and 635 Nm (468 ft.-lb.) of torque. This engine is paired with a ZF-sourced 8-speed 8HP75 automatic transmission, ensuring smooth gear changes and optimal drivability. Thanks to this powerful configuration, the Ram 1500 stands out as the fastest pickup in Brazil, capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h (0 to 62 mph) in just 5.3 seconds.
Crafted from a cast aluminum block, the Hurricane6 features two low-inertia turbochargers and high-pressure direct fuel injection. These provide quicker throttle response compared to naturally aspirated and supercharged engines, resulting in enhanced fuel economy and lower emissions.
Advanced Traction and Handling –
Both the Laramie and Laramie Night Edition variants of the 2025 Ram 1500 come standard with a four-wheel-drive (4×4) drivetrain and selectable driving modes: Auto, Sport, Snow, Towing, and Off-Road. This versatility ensures superior traction and control across various terrains. The innovative Active-Level™ air suspension offers five customizable height settings, improving aerodynamics and ground clearance, making the truck suitable for both urban driving and off-road adventures.
Versatility and Utility –
With a towing capacity of up to 4.5 tons (approximately 9,920 lbs), the 2025 Ram 1500 is built to handle heavy loads. Its construction utilizes 98% high-strength steel, complemented by aluminum components in the hood and tailgate to reduce weight without compromising durability.
The truck also features an electric rear cover, allowing for remote operation via a key fob or button. The bed is designed with practicality in mind, equipped with special coatings, internal LED lighting, and RamBox® storage compartments, each with a capacity of 107 liters (approximately 28.3 gallons) and internal lighting.
Cutting-Edge Technology and Connectivity –
The 2025 Ram 1500 is packed with advanced technology designed to enhance the driving experience. It features a 14.5-inch Uconnect 5 multimedia center, the largest in any Brazilian pickup, supporting wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Additionally, it includes a Harman Kardon® premium audio system with 19 speakers and a 10-inch subwoofer, delivering 900 watts of immersive sound.
A digital rearview mirror displays real-time images from a rear-facing camera, improving visibility. Induction charging capabilities allow for wireless charging of two smartphones, making it the first in its class to offer this feature.
Enhanced Safety Features –
The Laramie introduces ADAS level 2, including a suite of advanced safety technologies such as autonomous emergency braking, lane-keeping assistance, fatigue detection systems, and speed limit recognition. Combined with six airbags and various stability controls, these features contribute to a secure driving experience.
Design and Sophistication –
Inside, the Laramie offers luxurious comfort, featuring leather-trimmed seating with heated and ventilated front seats, a panoramic sunroof, and a customizable digital instrument panel for a personalized driving experience.
Exterior enhancements include new bumpers, a redesigned grille, standard LED reflective headlights, and stylish aluminum wheels, ensuring the 2025 Ram 1500 stands out in any setting.
Customization Options –
Customers can choose from over 20 Mopar accessories to personalize their new pickup, including electric retractable side steps, tonneau covers, and various exhaust tips for a sporty appearance.
Pricing and Availability –
At launch, the 2025 Ram 1500 will be available in two trims: the Laramie, priced at R$540,990 (approximately $112,950 USD), and the Laramie Night Edition, priced at R$555,990 (approximately $115,690 USD). Both versions come fully equipped with advanced features tailored to meet the demands of discerning customers in Brazil.
As Ram continues to strengthen its presence in Brazil, the 2025 Ram 1500 is set to impress with its blend of performance, luxury, and advanced technology, solidifying its position in the premium full-size pickup market.
