For 2025, the Ram 1500 has once again earned a place on Car and Driver’s prestigious 10-Best Vehicles list, reaffirming its status as a benchmark in the full-size pickup segment. This recognition marks the sixth time in seven years that the Ram 1500 has received this honor, making it a standout in an increasingly competitive market.

Car and Driver praised the Ram 1500 for its well-rounded excellence, noting its ability to excel in areas like performance, value, and versatility. The 3.0-liter Hurricane Straight Six Turbo engine plays a pivotal role in delivering power, efficiency, and reliability, setting the truck apart from its rivals. Additionally, the lineup’s refined ride and handling, bolstered by Ram’s class-leading suspension system, ensure a smooth driving experience both on and off the road.

“The competition in the auto industry, and particularly in the truck segment, is fierce,” said Christine Feuell, CEO of Ram and Chrysler. “It is an honor to have the Ram 1500 as the only full-size pickup on Car and Driver’s 2025 10-Best list. This award highlights the qualities our customers value most, from robust performance to luxurious options like the Tungsten trim.”

Car and Driver evaluates all vehicles on its 10-Best list using a stringent 100-point scoring system, measuring contenders against their intended purpose, overall value, and drivability. The editors emphasized that trucks, SUVs, or vans priced above $110,000 are excluded, ensuring an accessible benchmark for excellence.

Over two weeks, editors rigorously tested more than 55 vehicles, scrutinizing them through real-world scenarios. According to Tony Quiroga, Editor-In-Chief of Car and Driver, the Ram 1500 is “one part giant, one part isolation chamber, two parts workhorse—it’s modern American luxury.”

If it doesn't have a V8 throw it in a Lake..... sorry thought that was the only feedback possible.

Lovely truck class leading power and handling.

I’ll take the positive as one step forward. Let’s go through the ashes, find what is positive and start putting things right. I agree this Ram needs a V-8 option though the Hurricane has much going for it and should find many customers for buyers who see its value as a cleaner and powerful alternative. I get that.
If any of the rumors swirling around are true, the message has been heard and big changes are coming fast. Shout this good news out since it’s proof some good is there to build on and all is not lost. Sad we got here but I for one will not give up or abandon my belief in things Mopar. Congratulations Ram !

This is great news and hopefully gives Mopar a little momentum to begin 2025. I'm all for a straight 6 in a truck and so far there has been a lot of praise for the Hurricane engine in the 2025 Ram.
