Primal RC Unveils 1/8 Scale Ram 1500 ROC RTR Trail Truck

Big TRX Style, Big Scale RC Package

If you’ve ever wanted a Ram 1500 TRX in your driveway but don’t have the space—or the six-figure budget—Primal RC has the next best thing. Teaming up with Traction Hobby, the company has launched the 1/8 scale Ram 1500 ROC Brushless RTR 4WD RC truck, and it’s one of the most detailed and feature-packed remote-control rigs we’ve ever seen.

Licensed Looks –

This isn’t just another generic RC body. The ROC carries a fully licensed Ram 1500 shell styled after the high-performance TRX. That means aggressive proportions, molded bed, folding side mirrors, flexible wipers, and even a detailed interior. At nearly 29 inches long, 11.5 inches wide, and 10 inches tall, it has real presence on the trail. Add in a complete LED lighting system—including headlights, taillights, turn signals, reverse lights, and license plate lights—and this thing looks just as sharp after dark.

Trail-Ready Hardware –

Under the body, the ROC doesn’t mess around. A Hobbywing QuicRun Fusion 8IGHT SE brushless motor/ESC combo delivers smooth torque whether you’re crawling over rocks or blasting across dirt. The driveline is all-metal for durability, backed by aluminum wheels, coil-over oil shocks, and a solid rear axle with cantilever suspension. Adjustable weight distribution is possible thanks to multiple battery mounting positions.

Drivers also get serious control features like a remote-shifting two-speed transmission, selectable 4WD/RWD/FWD, and remote locking front and rear differentials. That kind of flexibility lets you crawl with precision or rip trails at high speed—all without lifting the body.

Electronics and Control –

The truck comes with a FlySky G7P computer radio, giving you seven channels of control for not just driving but also operating the lights, diffs, and transmission. Everything is water-resistant, so mud and wet terrain won’t ruin your fun. All you need to add is your own LiPo battery (2S or 4S), a charger, and four AAs for the transmitter.

Pre-Orders Open Now –

Priced at $849.99 USD, the Ram 1500 ROC is available now for pre-order, with expected delivery in December 2025. Buyers can choose from red, blue, or silver bodies. Shipping is free to the U.S. (48 states), Canada, and the UK, with discounted options elsewhere.

For RC fans who want a truck that looks, drives, and feels like the real deal, the Primal RC Ram 1500 ROC might just be the best trail rig to hit the market this year.
