AUCTION: 40K-Mile Cummins-Powered 2002 Dodge Ram 2500 SLT Quad Cab 4×4!

6-Speed Manual, Last Year Of The Second-Gen Heavy Duty...

The second generation of Ram pickups revolutionized the pickup market. Its “big rig” styling, was polarizing at the time and was considered a huge chance at the time that paid off for Dodge. So much so, each generation of Ram pickup since has continued to use styling elements from that generation.

Over the past few months, we have stumbled upon quite a few second-generation Ram survivors with lower mileage. This latest one just happened to catch our eye on BringATrailer.com.

This 2002 Dodge Ram 2500 SLT Quad Cab 4×4 is an absolute stunner. Remaining with its original owner in Wisconsin until this year, the truck now sits in Georgia waiting for a new home. Painted in the handsome two-tone Graphic Metallic paint on top of Bright Silver Metallic.

Under the hood, is the beloved 24-valve 5.9-liter Cummins inline-six turbodiesel rated for 235 horsepower @ 2,700 rpm and 460 lb.-ft. of torque @ 1,400 rpm. Most Cummins fans will love the fact that this truck has been paired with a 6-speed manual transmission. Being a 4×4 it features a dual-range transfer case and a limited-slip differential. The odometer states that there are just over 40,000 original miles on the truck.

Inside, there is the wonderful Agate cloth with patterned inserts on the seats and matching door panels, something Dodge Truck fans loved during the late-1990s. Amenities include remote keyless entry, a power-adjustable driver’s seat, air conditioning, cruise control, an aftermarket exhaust brake, and a factory CD stereo. The seller did mention that cracks are present in the dash.

The Carfax report indicates that an accident occurred in July 2002, though “no damage” was reported. The seller notes that the lower trim was repainted, and the clearcoat on the hood is failing. But overall, the truck still looks amazing for its 21 years of age (as it was built in September of 2001) and just seems to need some TLC.
