NO EXCEPTIONS: Dodge’s Dominant Drag Racing Duo

2023 Marks Last Chance To Grab One Of These Drag Racing Machines...

Dodge has been pushing the limits of performance with its muscle cars, and the Challenger SRT Super Stock and R/T Scat Pack 1320 are no exceptions. These two cars are designed to deliver the ultimate drag racing experience, with unique components and technologies that provide quick launches and maximum power delivery.

Dodge Challenger SRT Super Stock –

The Dodge Challenger SRT Super Stock is closely related to the limited-edition Dodge Challenger SRT Demon, which was released in 2018. However, while the Demon was designed specifically for drag racing and featured a variety of track-focused components, the Super Stock is a more well-rounded performance car that can be driven comfortably on the street as well as at the track.

The Dodge Challenger SRT Super Stock boasts incredible speed and power thanks to its supercharged 6.2-liter HEMI® HELLCAT H.O. V-8 engine delivers 807 horsepower, enabling the car to reach 0 to 60 mph in just 3.25 seconds. The 1/4-mile time is equally impressive, with the Challenger SRT Super Stock achieving it in 10.5 seconds.

The Dodge Challenger SRT Super Stock shares the same TorqueFlite 8HP90 8-speed automatic transmission as the Challenger SRT HELLCAT Redeye and Challenger SRT Demon.

To achieve this level of performance, the Challenger SRT Super Stock features a revised powertrain calibration that increases the rated power output, and a uniquely tuned Bilstein adaptive-damping high-performance suspension. The suspension works in tandem with lightweight all-aluminum Brembo four-piston brake calipers and 14.2-inch vented rotors, and performance-tuned asymmetrical limited-slip differential with a 3.09 final drive ratio.

In addition to its impressive power and handling, the Challenger SRT Super Stock comes standard with Nitto drag radials at all four corners. These tires provide added grip to the road, enabling the car to handle with precision and speed. The lightweight 18-inch x 11-inch wheels in a Low Gloss Granite finish complete the package, giving the car a sleek and aggressive look.

Its combination of components and technologies makes it one of the quickest and most powerful muscle cars in the world. If you’re looking for a car that delivers exceptional performance on the drag strip and on the road, the Challenger SRT Super Stock is the car for you.

Dodge Challenger R/T Scat Pack 1320 –

The 2023 Dodge Challenger R/T Scat Pack 1320 is a car designed for both street driving and drag racing. Equipped with drag-specific components and technologies, it delivers quick launches and exceptional grip at the 1/4-mile. The vehicle comes with a TorqueFlite 8HP70 8-speed automatic transmission, a TransBrake that locks the output shaft of the automatic transmission, and the Torque Reserve that manages fuel flow to cylinders for maximum power delivery and launch performance.

The Nexen SUR4G Drag Spec 275/40R20 street-legal drag radials are specially developed tires that provide exceptional grip and consistency at the drag strip. The SRT-tuned three-mode Adaptive Damping Suspension (ADS) is electronically re-tuned for the Challenger R/T Scat Pack 1320, and it includes a Drag Mode that optimizes weight transfer to the rear for the best launch traction. The vehicle also features a performance-tuned asymmetrical limited-slip differential with a 3.09 final drive and extreme-duty 41-spline rear axle half shafts adopted from the Challenger SRT Demon.

The Line Lock engages the front brakes to hold the Challenger R/T Scat Pack 1320 stationary, while leaving the rear wheels free for a burnout to heat up and clean the rear tires. The Launch Assist uses wheel speed sensors to watch for driveline-damaging wheel hop at launch and, in milliseconds, modifies the engine torque to regain full grip. The Launch Control controls tire slip during straight-line acceleration, while the Low Gloss Black 20-inch x 9.5-inch aluminum-forged wheels with knurled bead seats minimize tire slip on the wheel.

Both the Dodge Challenger R/T Scat Pack 1320 and the Challenger SRT Super Stock offer the option to add seats back into the interior for just $1. The standard configuration of the R/T Scat Pack 1320 comes with only a driver’s seat to reduce weight, but the front passenger seat and rear seat can be added individually as $1 options. Similarly, the SRT Super Stock comes standard with a driver and front passenger seat, but the rear seat can be added back for $1. This allows drivers to have the best of both worlds, with the option to remove seats for weight reduction during track use or add them back in for daily driving or carrying passengers.

In drag strip testing, the 2023 Dodge Challenger R/T Scat Pack 1320 was compared with a Dodge Challenger R/T Scat Pack. The R/T Scat Pack 1320 was able to shave off .3 seconds from the 1/4-mile time, completing it in just 11.70 seconds at 115 mph. It also cut .3 seconds off the 0 to 60 mph acceleration time, completing it in just 3.8 seconds.
