Next-Gen Alfa Romeo Stelvio Could Be Revealed In March

Official Debut of Entire 2026 Stelvio Lineup Won’t Happen Until June, Sources Say...

The 2026 Alfa Romeo Stelvio is gearing up for an exciting debut in April, according to several Italian automotive publications. While this initial reveal might just give us a first look, all the details about the new Stelvio are expected to be unveiled on June 24th, 2025, when Alfa Romeo celebrates its 115th anniversary. As the brand’s global best-seller, this next-generation D-segment SUV is set to combine cutting-edge design, advanced powertrains, and a tribute to Alfa Romeo’s rich heritage.

Built on the STLA Large platform, the Stelvio will be produced at the Stellantis Cassino Assembly Plant in Italy, alongside the upcoming Giulia sedan. It’s rumored to be slightly larger than the current model, with a sportier and more aerodynamic design. The new look is said to take cues from the Alfa Romeo Junior B-segment crossover, giving the Stelvio a fresh and modern edge.

In recent days, Alfa Romeo released a video showcasing its achievements in 2024. However, at the end of this video, a tantalizing teaser caught everyone’s attention: a glowing red V-signature outline, which many insiders believe hints at the rear taillight design of the upcoming Stelvio. Along with this, leaked details suggest that the new Stelvio will feature a closed shield grille, narrow headlights, a central plate, a truncated tail, and the luminous V-signature design. These elements are visualized in a render created by Alessandro Masera, capturing the anticipated bold and futuristic styling.

Alfa Romeo’s powertrain strategy for the Stelvio is shifting gears. The lineup will include battery-electric (BEV) and hybrid models, with speculation about internal combustion engine (ICE) options for specific markets. A high-performance all-electric Quadrifoglio version is also rumored to be in the works, reportedly featuring the same advanced 800-volt electrical architecture and powertrain as the Dodge Charger Daytona SRT Banshee.

Teaser images of the redesigned Stelvio are expected early in 2025, setting the stage for what promises to be a milestone model for Alfa Romeo. With its official launch perfectly timed to coincide with the brand’s 115th anniversary, the new Stelvio is shaping up to be a game-changer in the luxury SUV segment.

Hope Alfa Romeo reconsiders that rear tail light design, to my eyes it’s really ugly and over the top, actually detracting from its luxury appeal sedate formula.
I do like the current Stelvio and they have been very popular in my area but clearly the current Stelvio was beyond dated and it showed. Sales were way off and I hope a next generation Stelvio, without that hideous rear treatment, revives its former brisk sales pace. Lacking dealerships in sufficient numbers in more rural areas, as good as it may be, it might never realistically sell in Audi or BMW numbers though. That rear treatment could dash any hope of growing sales also.

I love my 2022 Stelvio Ti, but if they keep that ugly triangle rear and chop it off like the Jr, Alfa is dead in the US. I've owned 3 Alfa's over the years but can't see myself driving that ugly thing

Keep the JR styling in the trash can. I have seen some rendering with the triangle rear looks passable.
