This morning, the Mopar brand along with the Ram Truck brand unveiled a new concept truck that features a whole line of Mopar aftermarket accessories for the Ram Heavy Duty buyer. Meet the Mopar-modified 2019 Ram 2500 Big Horn 4×4 Off-Road.
This 6.4-liter HEMI V8 powered truck, stands out thanks to its bright Blue Streak paint and has been loaded with a number of the latest Mopar parts and accessories, as well as a few Mopar concept products which might see their way into production. This is also the first time we are seeing the new 2500 featuring the 4×4 Off-Road package as well.
The Mopar team worked closely with the Ram Truck brand, with both the Ram engineering team and the Ram design studio to create its lineup of products for the new 2019 Ram Heavy Duty. Development included tens of thousands of hours of testing and validation to meet strict standards. This is what sets Mopar products apart from the typical aftermarket manufacturers.
The Mopar-modified 2019 Ram 2500 Big Horn features a new powder-coated Ram Bar located in the bed and topped with five 5-inch LED off-road lights, each shining bright at 4,800 lumens each. An auxiliary switch bank inside the cab integrates with the Mopar LED lights to provide an organized central area for operation of auxiliary accessories.
A rear bed step, a production option also available as a Mopar accessory, lowers for easy access when the tailgate is up or down and retracts with a gentle push (these are already available for the Ram 1500 and are a very helpful option). A set of Mopar off-road wheel flares offers additional defense against the trail while enhancing the truck’s rugged appearance.
Inside, the Mopar team added brushed stainless steel door sill guards wearing the “R-A-M” text. As well as some beefy waterproof Mopar all-weather floor mats, that will help protect your Heavy Duty’s interior again things like mud, snow and water.
There are some prototype Mopar parts, that Mopar is featuring on the truck to see the public’s reaction. Prototype off-road rock rails that are power-coated, provide protection when driving in off-road conditions. We really like these prototype rock rails and hope Mopar adds them the their portfolio. Another production in its concept stage is the all-new 17-inch beadlock wheels. These are paired up with 37-inch Goodyear Wrangler MT/R with Kevlar tires. In the bed of the truck, is a prototype spare tire carrier that can hold up to a 37-inch tire.
