Ram Truck’s Middle-East division has just announced that the Ram 1500 Laramie Sport will be coming to the market. While that might sound like big news in North America since the truck has been on sale since 2018, the Ram brand recently launched the all-new fifth-generation Ram 1500 in the Middle-East market with only four models (Big Horn, Rebel, Laramie, and Limited).
While the 2019 Ram 1500 Laramie Sport is a popular option here in North America, Ram is limiting the truck on the international market with only 150 of the pickups being available to the region. That’s right, it will be a limited edition model. But with that, Ram Trucks is also launching the vehicle with only certain equipment for the market.
The limited-edition Laramie Sport for the Middle-East will feature a host of premium exterior features including a Sports Performance Hood, LED reflector headlamps and tail lamps, the optional chrome-accented 22-inch polished wheels will be standard, and distinguished chrome details. But the real highlight of the 2019 Laramie Sport is the luxurious interior, with full-grain leather-trimmed bucket seats and chrome-plated accents.
The Middle-East 2019 Laramie Sport is also at the forefront when it comes to technology, with the award-winning fourth-generation Uconnect® system and class-exclusive, 12-inch reconfigurable touchscreen display with navigation and split-screen capability for dual-application operation plus Android AutoTM and Apple CarPlayTM, and a wireless charging pad. Its leading audio system features a 19 speaker, 900-watt Harmon Kardon premium audio system, which is the most speakers and the most powerful audio system in its class. The instrument cluster also features a 7-inch full-color driver customizable TFT information display.
The optional 10 square-foot. dual-pane panoramic sunroof gives passengers an impressive window to fresh air, open skies and great views of their surroundings and when it comes to comfort, the 2019 Ram 1500 Laramie Sport has ventilated front seats (with memory settings for the driver), power-adjustable pedals with memory setting, and a six-way power-adjustable passenger seat.
Powered by the legendary 5.7-liter HEMI® V8 with variable-valve timing (VVT) for greater efficiency and performance, the 2019 Ram 1500 Laramie Sport delivers 395 horsepower at 5,600 rpm, 410 lb.-ft. of torque in a smooth, broad powerband that avoids the hesitation and peakiness of turbocharged engines and is linked to a smooth ZF-sourced 8-speed automatic transmission.
So our friends in the Middle-East market will be able to enjoy the handsome monochromatic looks of the Laramie Sport, with all of the equipment available in the North American Laramie Level 2 option list. Because the truck is being sent to the Middle-East, 5thGenRams.com expects the truck to come without the tinted privacy glass, the under the tailgate rear reflectors, and R-A-M chrome tailgate letters we see on all export models headed to the Middle-East market.
