Meet The 280 Horsepower Alfa Romeo Junior Veloce
This Is The Most Powerful Variant Of The All-New, All-Electric Junior B-UV...
Alfa Romeo has introduced the Veloce trim for its all-new electric subcompact crossover, the Junior, marking a significant milestone in the brand’s electrification journey. Developed by the same engineering team behind legendary models like the 4C and Giulia Quadrifoglio, the Junior Veloce promises to deliver a blend of performance and classic Alfa Romeo sportiness.
Electrifying Performance –
The Junior Veloce is powered by a 100% electrified powertrain that generates 280 horsepower (207 kW) and 345 Nm (254 lb.-ft.) of torque, placing it with Alfa Romeo’s famed performance models such as the Giulia and Stelvio Quadrifoglio.
Designed for Enthusiasts –
For those seeking dynamic handling and responsive driving, the Junior Veloce comes with several specialized enhancements:
- Sports Suspension: Lowered by 25 mm (1 in) for improved agility.
- High-Performance Tires: 20-inch tires specifically designed for electric vehicles.
- Enhanced Braking: Front brakes with discs over 380 mm and four-piston monobloc calipers.
- Torsen Differential: Ensures optimal traction across varying road conditions.
Exclusive Access and Testing –
In a historic move, Alfa Romeo is granting the international press access to the “Langhe” circuit at the Balocco Proving Grounds in Italy. This 20-kilometer track, traditionally reserved for Alfa Romeo’s development team and motorsport legends, will now host road tests for the Junior Veloce, allowing journalists to experience the vehicle’s capabilities in a setting that has honed many of Alfa Romeo’s finest cars.
Performance and Production –
The Junior Veloce will utilize the same 54 kWh battery as the standard Junior model, which provides an estimated range of 410 km (254 miles) in the 115 kW version. However, range figures for the more powerful Veloce trim have not yet been released, and pricing details remain unconfirmed.
The standard Junior EV and the Junior Veloce will be produced at Stellantis’ Tychy Assembly Plant in Poland.
