FIAT Brazil Gives A Price Increase To Its “Best-Selling SUV” The Pulse!

Entry-Level Model Gets The Biggest Price Hike...

In recent days, we talked about the FIAT brand continuing its success in the Brazilian market. Among the highlights last month, was the brand’s all-new Fiat Pulse taking the “Best-Selling SUV” title with over 5,000 units sold during April. With the success of the new subcompact crossover SUV, it appears FIAT believes it’s time to increase the price for the entire range.

Digging into the price changes, we see the cheaper models are getting the heftier price hikes. The Pulse lineup is made up of five different configurations. Those configurations include…

  • Drive 1.3 AT FLEX (Automatic) – Drive (Manual) features plus, 7-speed automatic CVT transmission, and dual-zone climate control
  • Drive TURBO 200 AT FLEX (Turbo) – Drive (Automatic) features plus, a turbocharged 1.0-liter inline-three-cylinder, 7-speed automatic CVT transmission with “Sport” mode
  • Audace TURBO 200 AT FLEX – Drive (Turbo) features plus, Advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS), Keyless Enter ‘N Go, and Wireless Phone Charging

Starting with the Pulse Drive 1.3 FLEX, the entry-level model got the biggest hike in price with an increase of R $ 5,000 (or $946.43 USD). Following it up, with the Pulse Drive 1.3 AT FLEX, the automatic model got an increase of R $ 3,700 (or $722.56 USD). The third Drive model, the Pulse Drive TURBO 200 AT FLEX, will now set you back an additional R $ 2,500 (or $488.22 USD).

At the intermediate level of the lineup, the Audace TURBO 200 AT FLEX and the premium Impetus TURBO 200 AT FLEX models, got an increase of R $ 1,000 (or $195.29 USD), respectively.

FIAT has put a lot of stock into its new Pulse. Already launched in Brazil and Argentina, FIAT has announced that it will bring the subcompact crossover SUV to the Mexican market as well. That is good news for the Italian marque there, as it sold fewer units than the Dodge, Jeep®, Peugeot, and Ram brands in that market.

2023 Fiat Pulse Abarth. (Abarth).

FIAT has also announced the return of the Abarth brand in Brazil, beginning with a high-performance Abarth version of the Pulse. The new Abarth Pulse is scheduled to be in dealer showrooms by the end of the year.
