AUCTION: 2006 Dodge Viper SRT-10 Coupe VCA Edition

Iconic Rare Viper With Only 1,996 Miles On The Odometer...

In 2003, the third-generation (GEN III) Dodge Viper debuted as a roadster, with the coupe version arriving in 2006 as the highly anticipated 2006 Dodge Viper SRT-10 Coupe. This coupe wasn’t just a roofed version of the roadster; it boasted substantial design changes. While the front fascia, front fenders, hood, and doors were shared between the two models, almost everything else was unique to the coupe.

It featured a distinct windshield surround, door side glass, rear fascia, rear quarter panels, and taillights borrowed from the original GTS Coupe. Additionally, the iconic “double-bubble” roof design, inspired by the Shelby Daytona, was a standout feature carried over from the original Viper GTS Coupe, becoming a signature element in the Viper coupe’s 25-year history.

The Viper has a reputation for producing numerous special edition models, and one such special edition from the 2006 model year was the Viper Club of America (VCA) Special Edition. Limited to just 50 units exclusively for Viper Club of America members, this edition distinguished itself from the standard offering in several ways:

  1. Unique Viper Red with Stone White Stripes Paint Scheme, a combination unique to this edition.
  2. Red Stitching Accents on the seats, steering wheel, shifter, and hand brake.
  3. Red Background on the Viper Hood Badge and Viper Steering Wheel Badge.
  4. 5-Spoke Aluminum Polished Wheels (18-Inch x 10-Inch in the front and 19-Inch x 13-Inch in the rear).
  5. Serialized Dash Plaque for authenticity.
  6. VCA Exterior Decals to proudly display club membership.

Interested buyers back in the day entered a lottery system, and the lucky 50 were randomly selected on December 5, 2005. Over time, these 50 Vipers have become highly coveted among enthusiasts and collectors.

A one-owner example of this unique Viper is set to be auctioned at the Mecum Indy Fall Special 2023 on Friday, October 6th, with an incredibly low mileage of only 1,996 miles on the odometer.
