The Avenger 4xe positions itself as a benchmark in the B-SUV segment, offering exclusive design and high performance while embodying Jeep’s rich legacy of all-wheel drive. This model includes two notable trims: the Upland and the exclusive The North Face Edition, both featuring an innovative powertrain designed for lightweight efficiency and driving pleasure.

At the heart of the Avenger 4xe is a 48-volt hybrid system powered by a 1.2-liter turbo engine that produces 136 hp (101 kW), supported by dual 21 kW electric motors located at the front and rear. This configuration not only provides all-wheel drive but also allows the vehicle to operate in full electric mode at low speeds. The Avenger 4xe can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h (0 to 62 mph) in just 9.5 seconds and boasts a top speed of 194 km/h (121 mph), making it 10 km/h (6 mph) faster than the e-Hybrid variant.

With its superior off-road capabilities, the Avenger 4xe includes improved approach, breakover, and departure angles of 22°, 21°, and 35°, respectively, along with a ground clearance of 210 mm (8.3 inches) and a wading depth of 400 mm (15.7 inches). These features ensure that the Avenger 4xe is ready for any terrain, providing exceptional traction and versatility for adventure seekers.

The Upland Model: Built for Adventure –

The Avenger 4xe Upland model showcases Jeep’s commitment to durability and adventure readiness. It features redesigned fog lights for better visibility, practical roof rails, and rear tow hooks, all contributing to a rugged aesthetic. The mold-in-color front and rear bumpers enhance both durability and style, ensuring that the vehicle maintains its looks even in challenging conditions.

Inside, the Upland’s cabin is designed for functionality and comfort. Durable, washable materials offer double the resistance of standard fabrics, making it ideal for outdoor enthusiasts. The interior features a 10.25-inch Uconnect 5 touchscreen, along with advanced driver assistance technologies like Adaptive Cruise Control and Hill Descent Control, which enhance safety and convenience during any journey.

The North Face Limited Edition: A Tribute to Nature –

The Avenger 4xe The North Face Edition elevates the vehicle’s concept of exploration, merging the iconic legacies of both Jeep and The North Face. Limited to just 4,806 units—symbolizing the height of Mont Blanc, Europe’s tallest mountain—this edition pays homage to the strength and beauty of the natural world.

The design incorporates nature-inspired colors, including Storm, Volcano, and Snow, complemented by striking Summit Gold accents throughout the vehicle. Unique features include an antireflective hood sticker with The North Face logo, while the interior showcases topographic lines inspired by Mont Blanc, further emphasizing the limited edition’s connection to the great outdoors.

Buyers will also receive The North Face Explore Pack, a welcome kit that includes a tent, duffle bag, and water bottle, all bearing the brands’ logos. This collaboration reflects a shared commitment to sustainability and adventure, making the Avenger 4xe The North Face Edition a perfect companion for outdoor explorations.

I have little critical to express on this Avenger, in fact I’m pretty impressed. It’s easy to jump on board the doom and gloom train when things are going poorly, but this Avenger speaks to engineering achievement, keen marketing strategy and vision for the brand. Frankly the decision to use some version of hybrid power could save the Jeep Wagoneer S and Recon. That Stellantis Large Platform is perfect for that hybrid application and only the Dodge Charger Six Pack has given Dodge a chance to partially utilize that adaptability (fully with a hybrid option) and give Dodge some hope. I really intend to drive that as soon as it’s available. I’ve been super critical of the dominance of European thinking at Stellantis, but this Avenger seems to translate American demand expression really well. Oh, that’s right, it won’t be sold in North America. Sure looks the part.
Could that be another example of bad judgement ?
