Dodge Introduces New Charger & Challenger SRT Hellcat Redeye “Jailbreak” Models!

Hellcat Redeye Widebody Models Get 10 More Horsepower, Can Create Your Own, Or Have Dodge Do It...

Just a week after we discussed the discontinuation of several colors from the 2022 Dodge Durango lineup, Dodge has pulled back the covers on a new special edition series of its 2022 Dodge Charger and Challenger SRT Hellcat Redeye Widebody models. The new “Jailbreak” models unlock color-combination ordering restrictions and add new factory-custom options to deliver enthusiasts the freedom to create their ultimate Hellcat Redeye Widebody to fit their individual personalities.

The new Jailbreak models are the next step in Dodge’s 24-month “Never Lift” campaign. The campaign teases the launch of several new Dodge models and special initiative programs.

“Roughly half of all Dodge customers modify their vehicles,” said Tim Kuniskis, Dodge CEO. “For those looking for increased performance, we will launch Direct Connection next month. But for those looking for a unique appearance, we are going to let customers run free through the styling archives. We’re taking most of the parts and pieces we’ve used over the years, adding a few new ones, and letting customers build their own ‘One of One.’ So, if you’re dreaming about owning a Stinger Yellow Challenger with Brass Monkey wheels, Hammerhead Grey seats, blue Brembos, and red badges, I’m not sure we should, but we’ll build it for you.”

The Jailbreak program will only be available on the SRT Hellcat Redeye Widebody versions of the Charger and Challenger (sorry non-Widebody fans). The new program allows customers to unlock those ordering restrictions, opening up the ability to mix and match from a full menu of features. Jailbreak models will include a unique Instrument Panel (I/P) badge and a revised powertrain calibration (same found on the Challenger SRT Super Stock) to push the horsepower to 807, a 10 horsepower gain.

Can’t Decide? Let Dodge Do It For You! –

Those who can’t choose from the wide array of features can opt for their customized order to be done by the Dodge Product Design Office in Auburn Hills. The Dodge Product Design Office has shown two of their ideas using the program (1 for Challenger called “Old School” and 1 for Charger called “Brass Funky”).

The Challenger SRT Hellcat Redeye Widebody Jailbreak “Old School” features an F8 Green exterior color and features a set of 20-Inch x 11-Inch Warp Speed Satin Carbon wheels, Satin Chrome Hellcat Redeye grille, fender, and decklid badging, Gunmetal Grey Brembo brake calipers, a chrome Fuel Door, Hammerhead Grey seats, seat belts, and floor mat accents, Dark Engine Turned aluminum bezels, leather steering wheel with a white SRT logo, and a twill headliner.

In the other corner, the Charger SRT Hellcat Redeye Widebody Jailbreak combines the Hellraisin exterior color and Sepia-colored Laguna leather seats, Sepia floor mat accents, suede headliner, and an Alcantara steering wheel with a white SRT logo. There is also a set of 20-Inch x 11-Inch Brass Monkey wheels, Brass Monkey-colored Hellcat Redeye grille, fender, and decklid badging, Orange Brembo brake calipers, Dual-Carbon stripes, and black exhaust tips.

Besides the “Old School” and “Brass Funky” choices, the Dodge Product Design Office will additional order combinations like “Red Dawn”, “The Classic”, “Yin Yang”, and many more.

The program has a U.S. Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) of $995 ($1,295 in Canada) over the standard SRT Hellcat Redeye Widebody model. That’s a great deal to have the chance of possibly having a 1 of 1 combination if configurated your own way.

Customers will be able to order their Jailbreak model (their combination or the Dodge Product Design Office choice) at a Dodge Power Brokers dealer in late Q4 2021. The new Dodge Power Brokers program, recently announced in tandem with the new Direct Connection performance parts line, will build a network of dealerships equipped with staff trained to deliver a performance-focused customer service experience.
