Jeep® Teases All-New Compass (J4U) Before April Reveal
Next-Gen Compact SUV Set to Debut in Europe Before Global Rollout

Jeep® is building anticipation for the next-generation Compass (J4U), a key model in the brand’s global strategy. This all-new C-segment SUV rides on Stellantis’ STLA Medium platform, designed to support multiple powertrains, including internal combustion engines (ICE), e-hybrid, plug-in hybrid (PHEV), and battery-electric vehicle (BEV) options.

Fresh teaser images offer a sneak peek at the redesigned Compass, highlighting its updated grille, a sleek taillight design, and the assembly process at the Melfi Assembly Plant in Italy, where production will soon begin. The new Compass will be slightly larger than its predecessor while maintaining its C-SUV classification.
The official unveiling is set for next month in Europe, with sales starting shortly after. North American production is slated for Q1 2026 at the Brampton Assembly Plant in Ontario, Canada.

The European Compass lineup will feature exclusively electrified models, including e-Hybrid, PHEV, and BEV variants at launch. The BEV 4xe will be the only model offering four-wheel drive (4×4), while other versions will come standard with front-wheel drive (4×2).
Jeep has temporarily paused J4U development in North America to reassess its powertrain strategy amid consumer hesitation toward fully electric vehicles. Our sources have indicated that the North American debut may prioritize the ICE model over the originally planned BEV variant.

Stay tuned to MoparInsiders as we will continue to follow all the details on the Compass (J4U) leading up to its European reveal next month.
