Jeep® Sells It’s 200,000 Compass In The Brazilian Marketplace:
Compass Continues To Be Popular Seller For The American Brand, Globally...
The most technological vehicle produced in Brazil, the least-devalued average SUV in the country, and the segment leader in the accumulated for the past three years, the Jeep® Compass is a success in several aspects. This can also be proven in sales, so much so that it has just reached the mark of 200,000 units sold in Brazil. It sells more than all direct competitors combined.
“Compass represents the union of design, sophistication, and technology to the Jeep spirit. He arrived to dictate a new direction for the mid-size SUV category with world-class design and did so. Its results, together with the success of the Jeep Renegade, consolidated the brand in Brazil and ensured not only excellent performance in the national market but also global prominence, with a better percentage of Jeep’s participation in the SUV segment among all countries ”, comments Alexandre Aquino, senior manager of Brand Jeep for Latin America.
The model was launched in October 2016 and is manufactured at the Automotive Hub of Goiana (Pernambuco), which is the most modern FCA plant in the world. It is worth mentioning that Brazil was the first country to manufacture and sell the second-generation Compass. As a success in the region, it soon started to be produced in four other countries (Mexico, China, India, and Italy) to have a global reach.
The Jeep Compass combines sophisticated design, technology, and refinement, without losing the Jeep spirit. Always innovating, in 2019 it launched the S Series in Latin America and Europe (equivalent to the North American High Altitude model) with more autonomous steering features, formed by adaptive cruise control, frontal collision warning with automatic braking and lane change monitoring with active correction (Lane Sense).
