Jeep® Reaches 1,000,000 SUVs Sold in Brazil Since 2015

Celebrating Success with Renegade, Compass, and Commander Leading the Charge...

Jeep® has reached a significant milestone in Brazil, selling 1,000,000 SUVs since 2015. This achievement highlights the brand’s strong presence in the Brazilian market, particularly in the competitive SUV segment, where Jeep nearly doubles the sales of its closest competitor.

The 1,000,000 figure includes only those models currently produced in Brazil, starting from 2015, the year Jeep opened its factory in Goiana, Pernambuco. The Goiana facility has played an essential role in the brand’s success in the country.

At the forefront of this success is the Jeep Renegade, the first model the brand manufactured in Pernambuco. The Renegade, launched in 2015, now features a turbocharged 1.3-liter inline-four-cylinder T270 engine, offering up to 185 horsepower, making it the most powerful in its segment. It is also the only model in its segment to offer four-wheel drive (4×4), staying true to Jeep’s off-road heritage. The Renegade recently surpassed 500,000 units sold and continues to receive new variants (like the new Sahara), ensuring its competitive edge in the market.

2025 Jeep® Compass Blackhawk 4×4. (Jeep).

Following the Renegade’s success, the Jeep Compass was introduced in 2016, making Brazil the first country to produce and market this new generation. The Compass quickly became a leader in its category, consistently ranking among the top-10 best-selling vehicles across all segments in Brazil. Its blend of advanced technology, 4×4 capability, and efficient engines, including flex-fuel, diesel, and gasoline options, has contributed to its popularity, with around 450,000 units sold since its launch.

2025 Jeep® Commander Blackhawk 4×4. (Jeep).

Completing the trio is the Jeep Commander, the first model developed in Brazil. Launched in 2021, the Commander brought Jeep into the luxury D-SUV segment in Brazil. With over 50,000 units sold as of May this year, it has set a new standard for three-row SUVs in Brazil, combining luxury with Jeep’s renowned off-road capabilities.

Jeep’s momentum in Brazil shows no signs of slowing down. The brand recently refreshed its entire lineup, introducing the powerful 272 horsepower 2.0-liter Hurricane4 inline-four-cylinder engine in the Compass and Commander. The 2025 Renegade was recently revealed for Brazil, further strengthening its position in the highly competitive SUV market. Additionally, Jeep now offers a 5-year warranty on all three models produced in Pernambuco.

Continuing its commitment to adventure, the American adventure brand also recently introduced the 2024 Wrangler and Gladiator models during the Interlagos Festival. These halo models represent the pinnacle of Jeep’s legacy and DNA, featuring updated designs, more standard features, and advanced technology, reinforcing Jeep’s status as a leader in off-road adventure.

As Jeep celebrates its achievement, it remains focused on delivering vehicles that resonate with Brazilian customers, combining rugged capability with modern technology and design. The Brazilian market has become the brand’s second-largest market behind the United States.
