Jeep® Looks To Continue It Success In Canada For 2023 With The Wrangler 4xe!
One Small Change, One New Model, One Winning Formula...
The iconic Wrangler is one of the most widely recognized vehicles around the world. As the halo of the Jeep® brand, the Wrangler Unlimited 4xe – the first electrified Wrangler ever is looking to continue the brand’s SUV domination as fuel prices continue to climb.
Powered by a turbocharged 2.0-litre inline-four-cylinder engine integrated with two electric motors and a 400-volt battery pack, the Wrangler Unlimited 4xe delivers up to 35 kilometres (21.7 miles) of all-electric range, average fuel economy of up to 4.8 Le/100 km (49 MPGe), instant torque, and nearly silent off-roading.
In Canada, the Wrangler Unlimited 4xe enters 2023 with virtually no changes. That’s good. Considering that the Wrangler Unlimited 4xe is the best-selling plug-in hybrid (PHEV) vehicle in Canada.
For the Canadian market, Jeep is expanding its “Jeep Wave” owner’s loyalty program to the Wrangler for the first time. The program provides owners with exciting benefits and perks, as well as the utmost care and dedicated support – all at no additional cost. That includes a 3-year membership, up to 6 oil changes and tire rotations, dedicated call centre support, trip interruption, and a first-day free rental if something were to happen.
There is also the introduction of the new, heritage-inspired 2023 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Willys 4xe. This new package features standard LED headlamps and fog lamps, Alpine 9-speaker premium audio, all-weather floor mats, rear limited-slip differential, rock rails, black grille, and 17-inch black-painted alloy wheels wearing LT255/75R17C mud-terrain tires. A special ‘Willys’ decal on the hood, trimmed in the 4xe’s signature Electric Blue, and an ‘Electric 4-Wheel Drive’ decal on the swing gate signify that this Willys is a 4xe PHEV. Electric Blue is also used to accent the front and rear Willys tow hooks, the Jeep badge, and the Trail Rated badge.
The Wrangler Unlimited 4xe, like its predecessors, is built upon a body-on-frame design, front and rear five-link suspension system, solid axles, electronic lockers, a seamless eight-speed automatic and E-Selec driving modes, including eSave mode that reserves battery power for later. A multitude of technology features, such as Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and safety features, such as Blind-spot Monitoring and Rear Cross Path detection, adaptive cruise control, and Forward Collision Warning-Plus, further Wrangler Unlimited 4xe’s appeal.
This beautiful Firecracker Red 2023 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon 4xe from our friends at White Rock Dodge in Surrey, British Columbia, features Dana 44 front and rear heavy-duty axles, enhanced off-road rock rails, and the Rock-Trac NV241 full-time transfer case with an 4:1 low-range gear ratio. Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon 4xe also includes electric front and rear locking differentials, a disconnecting front sway bar, and 33-inch BFGoodrich KM all-terrain tires, taking Wrangler Unlimited 4xe to places others simply can’t go.
Nevertheless, Jeep looks to continue its success well into 2023 with the same formula it had for 2022.
