Top-Of-The-Line Luxury Grand Cherokee 4xe, Makes Its Way "Down Under"...

Jeep® has expanded its Grand Cherokee (WL) lineup in Australia by introducing the plug-in hybrid (PHEV) variant, the Grand Cherokee Summit Reserve 4xe. Priced at $129,950 AU (or about $88,000 USD), the Summit Reserve 4xe offers an impressive blend of power, efficiency, and luxury features.

Powering the Grand Cherokee Summit Reserve 4xe is a turbocharged 2.0-liter engine combined with two electric motors, delivering a total output of 280 kW (375 horsepower) and 637 Nm (470 lb.-ft.) of torque. The vehicle features a 17.3 kWh battery pack, providing an electric range of 52 kilometers (32 miles) on the NEDC cycle. 

The hybrid SUV has an 8-speed automatic transmission and four-wheel drive, enabling a towing capacity of up to 2,772 kg (6,111 lbs). Charging times vary between less than ten and under three hours, with the latter achievable using a 7.4 kWh connection. The Grand Cherokee Summit Reserve 4xe operates as a hybrid when the battery nears its minimum charge and features air suspension for enhanced comfort during the drive.

In terms of design, the Grand Cherokee Summit Reserve 4xe is available in eight exterior colors and rides on 21-inch alloy wheels. It sports a black roof, automatic LED headlamps with auto high-beam control, and a two-speed active transfer case with low-range gear. Advanced safety features such as Blind Spot Monitoring with Rear Cross-Path Detection, Active Lane Management, Adaptive Cruise Control, and Pedestrian Automatic Emergency Braking with Cyclist Detection are included, along with a 360-degree camera system and Traffic Sign Information.

The Grand Cherokee Summit Reserve 4xe inside the cabin offers premium features and comfort. The leather-trimmed seats, available in Tupelo (optional) and Black (standard), come with electric adjustment and a massaging function for the front seats. Ventilated seats are provided for the first and second rows, while a four-zone climate control system ensures optimal comfort for all occupants. A panoramic sunroof allows for an airy and open atmosphere within the cabin. The vehicle also boasts a premium audio system with 19 speakers, a 10.1-inch Uconnect 5 infotainment system with smartphone integration, and 10.25-inch digital dials.

Jeep offers optional features such as a head-up display, wireless charging pad, front passenger display, and night vision camera for those seeking additional convenience and advanced technologies.
