Celebrating its leadership in the SUV segment in Brazil for the past 6 years, the Jeep® brand has started off 2022 on the right foot with several achievements. The brand continued to have two of its models among the best-selling vehicles in the country and still Renegade, Compass, and the all-new Commander were the best-sellers in their respective segments.
It didn’t stop there either. With a 9.7% market share and a total of 11,400 vehicles sold in January, Jeep achieved its best monthly performance in Brazil ever. It overshadowed last October’s market share record of 8.8%.
“We had impressive market share numbers at the beginning of the year, which makes January 2022 the best month in our history in terms of performance in Brazil. The Renegade conquered the leadership of the segment in January, as well as in 2021, which only highlights the confidence of the market and makes us more excited for the launch of the new Renegade, which arrives in the next few days and will certainly continue to be a success,” highlighted Everton Kurdejak, Jeep® Commercial Operations for Brazil. ”To complete, we are celebrating the 6 years of Jeep as #1 in SUVs in Brazil. Our brand has a strong relationship with the Brazilian consumer and we will continue to focus on the quality of service in Sales and After-Sales to make this leadership increasingly solid and permanent”.
In January, the Renegade reached 5,000 units sold and 15.8% market share among the heavily competitive B-Segment SUVs. In addition, it also took 3rd place among the best-selling passenger cars and was followed by the Jeep Compass, which had 4,907 units sold and reached 47% of its market share in the C-SUV segment.
The all-new three-row Commander is also worth mentioning. Launched at the end of August, it conquered for the second consecutive month the top spot among D-SUVs, displacing the former leaders, with 1,437 vehicles sold and a 33% share of its category.
