Jeep® ended March leading the SUV market in Brazil. The brand also achieved this feat in the quarter, with a 21% share among SUVs with 30,303 units sold. In addition, it closed with an 8% national market share in the first three months of the year. Both Compass and Renegade, were still present among the ten best-selling vehicles so far this year.
In addition to being the number one brand among SUVs, with 10,160 units sold, Jeep took a 19.8% share in the segment and placed Compass and the three-row Commander as the leaders in their respective categories during March.
Once again, Compass led among midsized SUV offerings with 4,727 units sold (38.5% segment market share). Commander also achieved the same feat in its category, with 1,835 units sold and 39% of its segment’s share (practically double of the second-place vehicle).
“This quarter was special for Jeep. We maintained our leadership position among SUVs, consolidated the Compass and Commander at the top of their categories, and also launched the 2023 Renegade, which brings together even more off-road capability, technology, and performance”, commented Everton Kurdejak, Senior Vice President of Jeep® Commercial Operations for Brazil.
