Jeep® Brazil Releases Pricing For New Entry-Level Renegade Model
New Renegade 1.3 Turbo Looks To Make The Popular Subcompact, Even More Attractive...
In response to the increasing competition in the SUV market in Brazil, Jeep® has unveiled its latest offering, the Renegade 1.3 Turbo. With an affordable price tag and an array of standard features, this entry-level model aims to take on rivals such as the Chevrolet Tracker 1.0 and Volkswagen T-Cross Sense 200 TSI. The Renegade 1.3 Turbo is part of the 2024 lineup, following an update in 2022 specifically for the Latin American market (LATAM).
Jeep recognizes the importance of catering to specific customer segments. To this end, they have disclosed the prices of the Renegade 1.3 Turbo models with federal discounts for Persons with Disabilities (PCD) and taxi drivers. PCD customers can purchase either version of the SUV for R$ 108,900 ($22,315 USD), while eligible taxi drivers can acquire it for R$ 94,501 ($19,365 USD). The regular price for the general public is R$ 125,990 ($25,860 USD).
The Renegade 1.3 Turbo comes equipped with a comprehensive range of safety features to ensure a comfortable and secure driving experience. These features include six airbags (front, side, and curtain) that provide protection to occupants in the event of a collision. The SUV also features LED flashlights, which enhance visibility and give it a distinctive appearance on the road. Other safety features include stability control (ESC), speed limit alerts, an electronic parking brake, and a tire pressure monitoring system. The Renegade 1.3 Turbo also boasts forward-collision warning-plus and autonomous emergency braking, further enhancing its safety credentials.
Externally, the Renegade 1.3 Turbo sets itself apart from the Sport model by omitting the standard roof rack, but it retains Sport’s 17-inch alloy wheels with 215/60 tires, which not only provide a stylish look but also contribute to a smooth ride. The Renegade 1.3 Turbo inside the cabin offers a comfortable and convenient experience. The SUV features a multimedia center with a 7-inch touchscreen display, providing easy access to various entertainment and connectivity options. The audio system with six speakers, USB, and Bluetooth connectivity ensures a seamless entertainment experience. The SUV also includes air conditioning, electric windows on all four doors with one-touch functionality, and a 12V socket for convenient charging of electronic devices. Other comfort features include an armrest with an object holder, a steering wheel adjustable in height and depth, and a bench lining in premium fabric.
The Renegade 1.3 Turbo is available only in a front-wheel drive (4×2) configuration. It features the Traction Control Plus (TC+) electronic locking differential system, which can be activated by pressing a button. This system calibrates a more aggressive traction control for light off-road conditions, ensuring better performance and control. However, it automatically deactivates when the vehicle exceeds speeds of 65 km/h (40 mph), prioritizing safety on regular roads.
With its attractive pricing for specific customer segments and a comprehensive range of standard features, the Jeep Renegade 1.3 Turbo aims to capture the attention of buyers seeking a budget-friendly yet well-equipped SUV. The SUV’s impressive safety features, distinctive exterior design, comfortable interior, and off-road capabilities make it a strong contender in Brazil’s increasingly competitive SUV segment.
