Jeep® Adds More Off-Road Grit With Wrangler 4xe Backcountry
Limited Edition Wrangler 4xe Blends Rugged Capability With Premium Tech...

The Jeep® brand is adding another chapter to its legendary Wrangler lineup with the introduction of the 2025 Jeep Wrangler 4xe Backcountry. Based on the well-equipped Sahara 4xe, this limited-edition model ramps up its off-road prowess while keeping premium comfort features intact. With only 5,800 units available for North America, the Backcountry edition offers buyers a more adventure-ready take on the electrified Wrangler.
Blending Hybrid Power with Trail-Ready Enhancements –

Jeep continues to lead the plug-in hybrid (PHEV) SUV segment, and the 2025 Wrangler 4xe Backcountry showcases why. Under the hood, it features the class-exclusive 4xe PHEV powertrain, delivering both gasoline and electric propulsion for optimal efficiency and performance. Whether silently crawling over rocky trails or cruising to the next off-road destination, the Backcountry offers seamless versatility.
Bob Broderdorf, Jeep® CEO, highlighted the vehicle’s mission: “The 2025 Jeep Wrangler 4xe Backcountry is designed for customers who want to head off-road with help from built-in Adventure Guides and a front TrailCam. Then back at camp, enjoy their playlist on the 9-speaker Alpine™ audio system, power devices with the 4xe-exclusive Jeep® Power Box and stay connected with onboard Wi-Fi.”
Built for the Trail and Beyond –

The Backcountry is engineered to handle more rugged terrain than the standard Sahara 4xe. It boasts several off-road upgrades, including:
- Front and Rear Steel Bumpers for added durability
- Rock Rails to protect against trail obstacles
- Mopar Single Loop Grille Guard for enhanced front-end protection
- General Grabber A/T Tires (275/55R20)
- 20-Inch x 8.0-Inch Painted Aluminum Wheels
- Front TrailCam for improved visibility on tough trails
- Trailer-Tow Package to enhance utility
Tech-Loaded for Ultimate Convenience –

While designed for adventure, the Backcountry doesn’t skimp on modern amenities. The Jeep® Power Box, exclusive to 4xe models, transforms the Wrangler into a portable power source with four 120-volt outlets, perfect for camping gear or tailgating essentials. Inside, drivers get a 9-speaker Alpine™ audio system, GPS navigation, and access to integrated Adventure Guides via the Uconnect 5 infotainment system.
Additionally, the Jeep® Offroad Pages Plus feature provides detailed data on traction, pitch, roll, and more, while a premium subscription unlocks over 3,000 trail guides through the Trails Offroad app.
Pricing and Availability –

Jeep has priced the 2025 Wrangler 4xe Backcountry at $64,290 (excluding $1,895 destination fee) in the U.S. and $76,190 ($73,895 MSRP plus additional fees) in Canada. It is available for order now in a range of seven exterior colors, including Bright White, ’41, Anvil, Black, Firecracker Red, Granite Crystal, and Hydro Blue.
